U.S. Space Command Warns Russia Planning ‘Space Pearl Harbor’ With Nuclear Weapon in Orbit (VIDEO)

Russia is reportedly developing a nuclear weapon designed to be deployed in space that could cripple global communications and cause widespread disruption.

General Stephen Whiting, head of U.S. Space Command, has admitted that Washington is “very concerned” about plans to place a nuclear anti-satellite weapon into orbit.

“They are thinking about placing in orbit a nuclear anti-satellite weapon that would hold at risk everyone’s satellites in low Earth orbit, and that would be an outcome that we just couldn’t tolerate,” Whiting said.

The weapon could be used to destroy large numbers of satellites in low Earth orbit, potentially taking out communications systems, GPS networks and parts of the global internet.

A detonation in orbit could damage or destroy up to 10,000 satellites, roughly 80 percent of those currently in space.

Officials have described the potential attack as a “space Pearl Harbor.”

Whiting said the threat forms part of a broader pattern of Russian activity in space, including widespread GPS and satellite communication jamming.

“The problem with GPS jamming is it’s being done in a way that’s affecting civil aviation in eastern Europe and across southern Europe,” he said.

“When we put at risk civilian airliners full of citizens just trying to go on business or holiday, that’s incredibly problematic.”

The general said Russia is seeking ways to counter what it sees as Western military advantages by targeting space-based systems.

“They look at the United States, they look at NATO and they see an overmatch there of conventional arms,” Whiting said.

“And they believe that novel ways of trying to undermine the United States and NATO, such as by neutralizing our space capabilities, helps them to level the battlefield.”

The proposed weapon would violate the Outer Space Treaty, which prohibits placing nuclear weapons in orbit.

U.S. officials have been aware of the threat for at least two years, with intelligence first briefed to Congress in 2024.

Whiting warned that space is increasingly becoming a central domain for future conflict.

“The next big war will likely be a war that starts in space,” he said.

He also urged allies to increase defense spending in the sector, noting that Britain currently spends less than one percent of its defense budget on space capabilities. [source]

Chinese hackers spying on US critical infrastructure, Western intelligence says

May 24 (Reuters) - A state-sponsored Chinese hacking group has been spying on a wide range of U.S. critical infrastructure organizations, from telecommunications to transportation hubs, Western intelligence agencies and Microsoft opens new tab said on Wednesday.

The espionage has also targeted the U.S. island territory of Guam, home to strategically important American military bases, Microsoft said in a report, adding that "mitigating this attack could be challenging."

While China and the United States routinely spy on each other, analysts say this is one of the largest known Chinese cyber-espionage campaigns against American critical infrastructure.

Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said on Thursday the hacking allegations were a "collective disinformation campaign" from the Five Eyes countries, a reference to the intelligence sharing grouping of countries made up of the United States, Canada, New Zealand, Australia and the UK.

Mao said the campaign was launched by the U.S. for geopolitical reasons and that the report from Microsoft analysts showed that the U.S. government was expanding its channels of disinformation beyond government agencies.

"But no matter what varied methods are used, none of this can change the fact that the United States is the empire of hacking," she told a regular press briefing in Beijing.

It was not immediately clear how many organizations were affected, but the U.S. National Security Agency (NSA) said it was working with partners including Canada, New Zealand, Australia, and the UK, as well as the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation to identify breaches. Canada, UK, Australia and New Zealand warned they could be targeted by the hackers too.

Microsoft analysts said they had "moderate confidence" this Chinese group, which it dubbed as 'Volt Typhoon', was developing capabilities that could disrupt critical communications infrastructure between the United States and Asia region during future crises.

"It means they are preparing for that possibility," said John Hultquist, who heads threat analysis at Google's Mandiant Intelligence.

The Chinese activity is unique and worrying also because analysts don't yet have enough visibility on what this group might be capable of, he added.

"There is greater interest in this actor because of the geopolitical situation."

As China has stepped up military and diplomatic pressure in its claim to democratically governed Taiwan, U.S. President Joe Biden has said he would be willing to use force to defend Taiwan.

Security analysts expect Chinese hackers could target U.S. military networks and other critical infrastructure if China invades Taiwan.

The NSA and other Western cyber agencies urged companies that operate critical infrastructure to identify malicious activity using the technical guidance they issued.

"It is vital that operators of critical national infrastructure take action to prevent attackers hiding on their systems," Paul Chichester, director at the UK's National Cyber Security Centre said in a joint statement with the NSA. [read more]

Trump signs $70B bill to fund Homeland Security Dept. through 2028

June 10 (UPI) -- President Donald Trump signed a bill to fund the Department of Homeland Security's immigration enforcement agencies through 2028 after months of battles to prevent it from happening.

"This morning I'm thrilled to sign the Secure America Act to immediately and fully fund the Department of Homeland Security through the end of my term, so we won't have to be talking about it anymore," the president said in the Oval Office.

The Senate passed the $70 billion funding package on Friday, and the House approved it on Tuesday.

Democrats fought the funding for months, refusing to agree to the bill unless there were reforms to the organization after two American citizens -- Renee Good and Alex Pretti -- were killed by federal agents in Minneapolis earlier this year. But the measure was passed via reconciliation, which only requires a majority vote instead of 60 votes needed to overcome a filibuster.

"We'll give the heroes of ICE and Border Patrol -- and that's what they are, they're heroes, what they have to go through to keep us safe -- the support and resources they need to defend our borders, protect our homeland and to keep America safe," the president added He also gave House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., credit for passing the bill with a slim majority in the House.

"Despite Democrat efforts to shut down ICE and Border Patrol, Republicans have now fully funded these agencies through President Trump's entire second term to the tune of nearly $70 billion," Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., in a statement. "Thanks to President Trump, our border has gone from its weakest point to its most secure point in less than two years." [source]

The crazy plan to explode a nuclear bomb on the Moon

The moment astronaut Neil Armstrong stepped out on to the Moon's surface in 1969 is one of the most memorable moments in history.

But what if the Moon Armstrong stepped onto was scarred by huge craters and poisoned from the effects of nuclear bombardment?

At first reading, the title of the research paper – A Study of Lunar Research Flights, Vol 1 – sounds blandly bureaucratic and peaceful. The kind of paper easy to ignore. And that was probably the point.

Glance at the cover, however, and things look a little different.

Emblazoned in the centre is a shield depicting an atom, a nuclear bomb, and a mushroom cloud – the emblem of the Air Force Special Weapons Center at Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico, which played a key role in the development and testing of nuclear weapons.

Down at the bottom is the author's name: L Reiffel, or Leonard Reiffel, one of America's leading nuclear physicists. He worked with Enrico Fermi, the creator of the world's first nuclear reactor who is known as the "architect of the nuclear bomb".

Project A119, as it was known, was a top-secret proposal to detonate a hydrogen bomb on the Moon. Hydrogen bombs were vastly more destructive than the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima in 1945, and the latest in nuclear weapon design at the time. Asked to "fast track" the project by senior officers in the Air Force, Reiffel produced many reports between May 1958 and January 1959 on the feasibility of the plan.

Incredibly, one scientist enabling this horrific scheme was future visionary Carl Sagan. In fact, the existence of the project was only discovered in the 1990s because Sagan had mentioned it on an application to an elite university.

While it might have helped to answer some rudimentary scientific questions about the Moon, Project A119's primary purpose was as a show of force. The bomb would explode on the appropriately named Terminator Line  – the border between the light and dark side of the Moon – to create a bright flash of light that anyone, but particularly anyone in the Kremlin, could see with the naked eye. The absence of an atmosphere meant there wouldn't be a mushroom cloud.

There is only one convincing explanation for proposing such a horrendous plan – and the motivation for it lies somewhere between insecurity and desperation. [read more]

History offers a grim pattern: A tyrant rises, slaughters the innocent, and the world watches — then regrets. From the ruins of cities and graves of millions comes the same old lesson, relearned too late: Free nations must stand together or perish apart.

In the fifth century, Attila the Hun terrorized Europe. Theodosius II, the Eastern Roman emperor, bought peace by paying Attila 2,100 pounds of gold annually. The Western emperor, Valentinian III, stayed silent — happy to remain out of range. But Attila didn’t stop. He turned west, burned cities, demanded Valentinian’s sister in marriage, and claimed half the empire. Rome tried appeasement again. Gold flowed. But the hunger of predators cannot be satisfied with treasure.

Modern history offers another warning. Adolf Hitler spelled out his genocidal vision in "Mein Kampf." He made no secret of his plan to build a racially pure Volksgemeinschaft by eliminating “inferior” peoples. Yet, the world did nothing.

When Hitler marched troops into the Rhineland, Europe’s powers stood by. When he absorbed Austria in the Anschluss of 1938, they did nothing. When he threatened Czechoslovakia, the world convened — not to confront him but to appease him. The result was the Munich Agreement, signed in the name of peace, but it delivered only conquest. Six million Jews died. Tens of millions more followed. Once again, the world failed to act until it was far too late.

The refrain “never again” echoed across continents. But history’s warning now blares once more — from Tehran.

On February 11, 1979, the Islamic Republic of Iran was born. That August, it declared Al-Quds Day, with crowds chanting “Death to America” and “Death to Israel.” The regime announced its goal: global domination under a single theocratic rule. Nonbelievers would be crushed. Sound familiar?

The alarms have only grown louder. In 1979, Iran seized 66 Americans at the U.S. embassy and held 52 of them hostage for over a year. In 1981, Iran’s Islamic Revolution inspired the assassination of Egypt’s President Anwar Sadat. In 1982, it supported the Syrian uprising that spawned Hamas. In 1983, Iran’s proxy Hezbollah bombed the U.S. Marine barracks in Beirut, killing 241 Americans. By the 1990s, Iran backed Ansar Allah — the group now called the Houthis.

Iran built a terrorist Hydra of proxies, encircling Israel with armed fanatics. And the world did what it always does: It looked away.

Even the United States bent the knee. The Reagan administration traded arms for hostages. Obama gave Iran billions in sanctions relief under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action — an appeasement deal in all but name, dressed up as diplomacy. In return, Iran advanced its nuclear program while promising not to use it. A familiar bargain: Leave us alone, won’t you? Please?

Then came October 7, 2023. Hamas terrorists — financed by unfrozen Iranian assets — slaughtered more than 1,200 Israelis. They raped. They kidnapped. They filmed their atrocities. And still, Iran marched forward, building nuclear capacity for a “final solution.”

Enough.

President Donald Trump saw the danger. Intelligence revealed that Iran was weeks away from building a bomb. He acted.

Eight U.S. B-2 bombers carrying bunker-buster warheads struck Iran’s nuclear sites — Natanz, Isfahan, Fordow, and others. Trump announced to the American people that the regime’s key nuclear enrichment facilities had been “completely and totally obliterated.”

Trump did what history demands. He refused to sacrifice nine million Israelis while the world held meetings. He didn’t wait for Tehran to strike first. He acted to stop a second holocaust before it could begin.

This is the difference between a predator’s barbarism and a statesman’s vision. Trump offers peace through strength — as opposed to allowing predators to plunder, rape, and murder their way to barbaric “prosperity.” Trump’s prosperity emerges from shared interest. He champions a commonwealth built on commerce, not conquest.

History has handed us one last chance to learn its lesson. Let’s not waste it. [source]

Chinese Spy Balloon Used US Internet to Communicate as it Soared Over Nuclear Silos

Last January the Biden administration knew about the Chinese spy balloon traversing across the continental United States, from Alaska to the Carolinas, but sought to conceal this from the American public.

A newspaper photographer first spotted the balloon over Montana.

The Chinese spy balloon first entered US airspace over Alaska in late January.

The balloon soared over nuclear silos and military installations across the US with Joe Biden’s full approval.

The balloon was shot down over the Atlantic just off the coast of the Carolinas.

According to the Pentagon, the spy balloon carried explosives to self-detonate, was 200 feet tall, and weighed thousands of pounds.

Earlier this week it was reported General Milley also knew the spy balloon was collecting data as it flew over the continental US but kept this from the American public.

Now this…

According to CNN, the Chinese spy balloon used US internet to communicate as is soared over the United States and gathered information.

CNN reported:

US intelligence agencies found that the Chinese surveillance balloon that transited the United States in early 2023 used an American internet service provider to send short, periodic transmissions of data related to navigation and location back to China, according to a US official.

This connection was one of the ways that the US was able to track its location and gather information on the balloon as it transited the United States, the source said.

CNN was not able to identify the internet service provider. CNN has previously reported that officials said the balloon was capable of communicating with Beijing as it traveled across the US.

NBC News first reported that the balloon used a US network to communicate with Beijing.

The network connection was not used to transmit intelligence back to China, according to the official. The balloon stored that information for later, including imagery and other data, which the US has since been able to study after shooting it down in February.

Denmark Doesn’t Deserve Greenland

Last week, President Trump announced that the United States will acquire Greenland one way or the other.

Greenland is a self-governing territory of Denmark; it is the world’s largest island, with a small population of less than 100,000 inhabitants, mostly composed of indigenous people called Inuits.

Because Greenland sits at the intersection of three continents (Asia, Europe, and North America) and is rich in strategic resources, it has immense geopolitical importance.

The island is home to one of Earth’s largest uranium deposits. Uranium is essential for nuclear energy production, and it plays a crucial role in supporting nuclear power generation in the United States. Environmental groups oppose its extraction because they claim it may pollute the island’s environment, so Greenland imposed a ban on uranium mining in 2021.

In the same place where uranium is found on the island — the Kvanefjeld Mining Project on the southern side of the island — there are also vast deposits of rare earth minerals. These minerals form critical components for technologically advanced defense equipment, electric cars, and wind turbines. A sustainable supply of these minerals is vital to the U.S. defense industry.

On the island’s east coast, Greenland has large oil and gas reserves, which are still unexploited. So far, Denmark has not extracted any of these resources, while the United States would be able to make full use of them.

U.S. military presence in Greenland is of great geostrategic importance due to its proximity to Russia, providing early warning of missile launches from America’s principal adversary in the Arctic. Military installations on the island are the cornerstone of the development of the next-generation missile defense shield, called the Golden Dome. In fact, positioning missile interceptors on the island is a critical asset to counter Russia’s most advanced weapons. The island also plays an essential role in monitoring naval and submarine movements in the Arctic Ocean.

After the Trump administration expressed interest in acquiring the island, Denmark vehemently opposed U.S. plans, and Danes launched a grassroots boycott of American brands, targeting iconic companies such as Coca-Cola and Netflix.

This month, Denmark launched Operation Arctic Endurance, a military drill in Greenland involving several other European countries, including France, Germany, and the United Kingdom. The objective of the exercise is to demonstrate readiness to defend the island. In response, the Trump administration imposed a 10 percent tariff on several countries participating in this operation. The tariffs take effect on Feb. 1 and last until an agreement for the purchase of Greenland is reached.

The European military exercise was unnecessary since the United States already holds a military base on the island. In 1951, the U.S. started the construction of the Thule Air Base in Greenland, which became America’s northernmost operational base. During the Cold War, the base was a key point in American aerospace defense.

In 2020, the United States changed the installation’s name to Pituffik Space Base, reflecting the native designation for the region. The base’s radar can detect and track ballistic threats, making it a sort of sentinel of the North. Its integration into the Golden Dome would give it the unique ability to detect, track, and intercept Russian missile threats faster than other radars, due to its central location in the Arctic region.

During his first administration, President Trump demanded that all NATO countries increase their defense spending to at least 2 percent of their annual gross domestic product. Because of Trump’s pressure, last year NATO members agreed to boost their defense spending to 5 percent of their GDP by 2035.

Until 2022, Denmark’s defense spending was just 1.36 percent of its GDP or lower going back to 2014, while U.S. defense spending has consistently exceeded 3 percent. Although Danish defense spending increased in the past three years, the U.S. remains the NATO country with the strongest military force, and U.S. ability to defend Greenland far exceeds Denmark’s.

One of Denmark’s arguments against U.S. control of Greenland is that the island is already part of NATO, so there is no need for it to be directly controlled by the United States. In fact, Denmark has been a member of NATO since 1949, and its territories, including Greenland, are also part of the alliance.

However, the island’s geopolitical relevance is disproportionate with respect to the global role of Denmark, a country of just 6 million inhabitants. During World War II, Nazi Germany invaded Denmark, forcing the United States to occupy Greenland to prevent it from falling under Hitler’s control. The United States should have kept the island; instead, it made a major mistake, returning it to Denmark after the end of the war.

There is no reason for Denmark to retain control of Greenland since it has failed to exploit its strategic mineral resources and was unable to protect it from Germany in WWII.

On the contrary, the United States has a vested interest in controlling an island that is an essential component of a multibillion-dollar defense system, which will give North America, and Greenland itself, enhanced security from the threats of other great powers.

For these reasons, U.S. control of Greenland is paramount to maintain American geopolitical leadership. [source]

U.S. Takes Out 14 ‘Narco-Terrorists’ In Pacific Drug Boat Strikes

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said Tuesday that the United States military took out four more narco-trafficking boats through kinetic strikes in the Eastern Pacific, leaving 14 suspected drug traffickers dead.

Hegseth said that the strikes took place in international waters on Monday and were authorized by President Donald Trump. The boats were operated by Designated Terrorist Organizations (DTOs), Hegseth said.

“The four vessels were known by our intelligence apparatus, transiting along known narco-trafficking routes, and carrying narcotics,” Hegseth wrote on X. “A total of 14 narco-terrorists were killed during the three strikes, with one survivor. All strikes were in international waters with no U.S. forces harmed.”

There were eight male “narco-terrorists” on board the first boat, four on the second, and three on the third, according to Hegseth. He added that Mexican search-and-rescue authorities had assumed responsibility for coordinating the rescue of the survivor from the third boat. It was not specified which DTOs were targeted.

“The Department has spent over TWO DECADES defending other homelands. Now, we’re defending our own,” Hegseth said. “These narco-terrorists have killed more Americans than Al-Qaeda, and they will be treated the same. We will track them, we will network them, and then, we will hunt and kill them.”

At Trump’s direction, the military has taken out dozens of suspected drug-runners throughout the Caribbean Sea and expanded strikes into the Pacific. Two survivors of previous strikes were repatriated to Colombia and Ecuador, where American authorities recommended they face prosecution for drug trafficking.

On Friday, Hegseth dispatched the Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group toward South America to aid in efforts to fight drug trafficking in the region.

“The enhanced U.S. force presence … will bolster U.S. capacity to detect, monitor, and disrupt illicit actors and activities that compromise the safety and prosperity of the United States homeland and our security in the Western Hemisphere,” Chief Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell said. “These forces will enhance and augment existing capabilities to disrupt narcotics trafficking and degrade and dismantle TCOs [Transnational Criminal Organizations].”

Some lawmakers in Washington, D.C., have expressed concern about Trump’s strikes on suspected drug runners, arguing that Congress must grant approval before the administration uses the military to target suspected narco-terrorists in international waters. Trump has said that he doesn’t need a declaration of war to target those he says are bringing drugs into the country. [source]

Former Trump National Security Adviser John Bolton Indicted, CNN Reports

A federal grand jury in Maryland has returned an indictment against John Bolton, President Donald Trump’s former national security adviser.

The development was first reported Thursday by CNN, citing two sources familiar with the matter.

The indictment represents an escalation of tensions between Trump and one of his most prominent internal critics.

The indictment accuses Bolton of mishandling classified information, part of a broader Justice Department inquiry into whether he retained or transmitted secret or national defense information after leaving government.

The case is being handled by career prosecutors in Maryland, rather than prosecutors in politically sensitive districts.

While the full indictment has not yet been unsealed, multiple media outlets — including Reuters and The Associated Press — reported that the charges are tied to the federal investigation sparked by FBI searches of Bolton’s Maryland home and his Washington, D.C., office in August.

According to publicly available court filings and the inventory of seized material, investigators recovered documents marked “secret,” “confidential,” and “classified,” including items related to weapons of mass destruction, strategic communications, and U.S. interests at the United Nations.

The affidavit supporting the search warrants references alleged retention of national defense information and probable cause to believe Bolton may have been in unlawful possession of materials that should have been turned over to government archives.

One redacted portion of the affidavit suggests that Bolton’s personal AOL email account had been hacked by a foreign entity, and that the government recovered emails from that account that raised questions about whether he had transmitted classified materials through it.

Media outlets report that the allegedly illicit conduct spans multiple counts — potentially unauthorized retention of national defense information, improper transmission of classified records, and false statements to federal investigators.

Bolton is expected to plead not guilty.

Bolton is a veteran diplomat and national security figure who served under multiple Republican administrations.

Trump appointed him as national security adviser in April 2018, but their relationship quickly soured over foreign policy differences, particularly on Iran, North Korea, and Afghanistan.

Trump dismissed him in September 2019.

Following his departure, Bolton emerged as one of the president’s fiercest critics.

His 2020 memoir, "The Room Where It Happened," portrayed Trump as erratic and self-interested in foreign affairs.

The book’s release sparked controversy after the White House claimed it contained classified material that had not been cleared through prepublication review — a dispute that foreshadowed the current indictment.

And Bolton makes three... Well, he shouldn't have classified materials in his resident and he definitely shouldn't put those documents in his book. I guess he just wanted to get back at Trump and was not thinking about the country's security.

"This would give us a big advantage if we can shoot down all the Chinese nuclear warheads and their warp speed missiles that they have as well," Marshall told "National Report." "That would just put our military at a big, big advantage. But to me, this is a defensive weapon as far as the United States has been concerned. Look, we don't want to rule the world. We just want to make sure our families are safe and secure. I think this will be a great investment. $175 billion is what the president's going to spend on this probably. Think about this. We spent $200 billion in Ukraine and I don't know what that did for the safety of American citizens."

Beijing is reportedly "seriously concerned" about the U.S. Golden Dome missile defense shield and the Chinese foreign ministry called on Washington to abandon development of the $175-billion project that Trump announced on Tuesday.

"This takes me back to my boyhood, when they announced the shot for the moon, going to the moon," Marshall said. "And this is something that Americans can rally around together, that we can cheer for together. We don't have the technology to complete this yet. It looks next to impossible. I would put this way ahead of any purpose of going to Mars for America right now. So, I think this is a good investment. It's going to make Americans safer. That's what President Trump promised us. He said he's going to make our families safer and more secure, so I'm behind it. I'm excited about the technology. There'll be so many other benefits from this technology going forward as we develop this."

Marshall also weighed in on the budget reconciliation package Republicans are trying to push through the House, saying the bill "is not perfect," but "we're getting there." He called the legislation "the first step towards a balanced budget."

"If, when we pass this bill, it's going to mean $1,000 per month more money in hardworking Americans' pockets, that's a big deal," he said. "You live on $60,000, $80,000 a year, and I'm going to give you $1,000 more each month to help feed your family … maybe get a new fishing boat eventually as well. That's always been my dream, is to have a nice fishing boat. I thought about this this weekend during a baseball game: If this was a baseball game, the House is going into the seventh inning and we're going to have to bring our closer in sooner than expected, so we're going to bring in Donald Trump. … If it wasn't for President Trump, this doesn't happen. The second-largest foreign landowner in the U.S. is a Chinese billionaire who it has been determined is a member of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), according to a Daily Caller News Foundation review of Chinese-language news reports.

Chen Tianqiao, the founder, chairman and CEO of global investment firm Shanda Group, owns approximately 200,000 acres of land in Oregon, according to Land Report. Chen also has extensive ties to the Chinese government, ranging from CCP membership to executive roles in CCP-affiliated organizations, according to a DCNF review of Chinese-language media reports.

In 2015, Chen acquired 198,000 acres in Oregon, according to Land Report. The $85 million purchase made the Chinese national the 82nd-largest property owner in the U.S. and the second-largest foreign U.S. land owner, Bloomberg reported, second only to a Canadian family who owns over 1 million acres of Maine.

Oregon’s Bull Springs Skyline Forest accounts for approximately 33,000 of Chen’s acreage, according to Land Report. The forest is located west of Bend, Oregon, and is home to springs, creeks, timberland and wildlife, according to the Bull Springs Skyline Forest website.

Oregon Republican Rep. Lori Chavez-DeRemer said she was “deeply concerned that individuals tied to the Chinese Communist Party are buying up timberland, which is one of our most precious and finite resources.”

“Foreign ownership of United States lands is a serious problem that has rightfully sparked unease among farmers, ranchers and foresters across the country,” Chavez-DeRemer told the DCNF.

Chen also owns several urban properties in the U.S., including the Vanderbilt Mansion in Manhattan, the Seeley Mudd Estate near Los Angeles and a 150,000 square-foot research facility at Caltech called the Tianqiao and Chrissy Chen Institute for Neuroscience — each worth tens of millions of dollars, according to Land Report.

Chinese ownership of U.S. land, in particular agricultural land, has come under increased scrutiny from GOP governors, who see it as a potential national security threat. Several states, including Florida, have taken legislative and executive action to ban Chinese ownership of U.S. farmland, the most recent being Missouri Gov. Mike Parson’s January 2024 executive order banning such purchases near military installations.

“One of the Chinese Communist Party’s goals is to undermine and weaken America,” Florida Republican Sen. Marco Rubio told the DCNF. “This includes instances where our greatest adversary continues to buy land — whether its farmland or near our installations.” [read more]

DOJ Files First-Ever RICO Charges Against 27 Tren de Aragua Gang Members

On Monday, DOJ officials unsealed indictments against 27 current or former members of the Tren de Aragua (TdA) gang. Officials report that 21 of the 27 indicted gang members are currently in federal custody.

“As alleged, Tren de Aragua is not just a street gang – it is a highly structured terrorist organization that has destroyed American families with brutal violence, engaged in human trafficking, and spread deadly drugs through our communities,” U.S. Attorney General Pamela Bondi said in a written statement. “Today’s indictments and arrests span three states and will devastate TdA’s infrastructure as we work to completely dismantle and purge this organization from our country.”

The indictments include charges against six current TdA gang members and 21 former members who are now part of an “Anti-Tren” gang that splintered off from TdA.

Acting U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York said, ““Today, we have filed charges against 27 alleged members, former members, and associates of Tren de Aragua, for committing murders and shootings, forcing young women trafficked from Venezuela into commercial sex work, robbing and extorting small businesses, and selling ‘tusi,’ a pink powdery drug that has become their calling card.”

“Today’s Indictments make clear that this Office will work tirelessly to keep the law-abiding residents of New York City safe, and hold accountable those who bring violence to our streets.”

New York City Police Commissioner Jessica S. Tisch added, “For the first time ever, TdA is being named and charged as the criminal enterprise that it is. This isn’t just street crime—it’s organized racketeering, and this gang has shown zero regard for the safety of New Yorkers. TSA could privatize the screening function by expanding the current Screening Partnership Program (SPP) to all airports. Alternatively, it could adopt a Canadian-style system, turning over screening operations to a new government corporation that contracts screening service to private contractors.

These children too often become trafficking victims, which means that the TVPRA has failed. 2. If an alternative to repealing Section 235 of the TVPRA is necessary, the section should be amended so that all unaccompanied children, regardless of nationality, may be returned to their home countries ina safe and efficient manner. Currently, the TVPRA allows only children from contiguous countries (Canada and Mexico) to be returned while every other unaccompanied minor must be placed into a lengthy process that usually results in the minor’s landing in the custody of an illegal alien family member.

Chinese nationals attempting entry to U.S. bases spark espionage concerns

An increasing number of incidents have been occurring involving Chinese nationals, sometimes posing as tourists, attempting to access sensitive U.S. sites, including military bases, rocket launch sites and even the White House.

The FBI, the Department of Defense and other agencies held a review last year, according to The Wall Street Journal, to figure out how to limit these incidents from occurring. The Journal is reporting that there have been as many as 100 such incidents in recent years, according to U.S. officials who describe them as a potential espionage threat.

These “gate-crashers” range from “Chinese nationals found crossing into a U.S. missile range in New Mexico to what appeared to be scuba divers swimming in murky waters near a U.S. government rocket-launch site in Florida,” according to the outlet.

Officials believe these breaches are attempts to test security practices at U.S. military installations and involve Chinese nationals who are required to report back their findings to the Chinese government.

Three Chinese citizens were sentenced to about a year in prison in 2020 after pleading guilty to illegally entering the Key West naval air station and taking photos.

While there have been no cases that resulted in espionage charges, two Chinese diplomats were expelled from the U.S. in 2019 on suspicion of espionage after they drove onto a highly sensitive military facility in Virginia where U.S. Navy SEALs train, according to the Journal. [source]

Mystery UFO drones swarmed a U.S. military base for 17 days, and Pentagon says it can't stop them

(NEW YORK POST) — Fleets of dozens of mysterious UFO drones are surveilling America's most sensitive military sites, and the Pentagon admits it can't do much to stop the aerial intruders, according to a new report.

Drones of unknown origin have been spotted flying over military bases in Virginia and Nevada over the past year, including the secret base for the Navy's elite SEAL Team Six commando unit and Naval Station Norfolk, the world's largest naval port, the Wall Street Journal reports.

Federal laws, however, prohibit the military from shooting down the drones over the potential risks to troops and civilians. [source]

Unknown origin?  Here's an idea: Shoot an EMP at one of them and see if there any markings on it when it hits the ground. Even dissect it. Could this be a trial run? Or even a test? A fleet of drones sounds like a country is doing this. Not good.

11 things desperate Dems are willing to do to beat Trump

This country is such a mess under President Joe Biden. It's hard to even believe what's happening is real. How can this many things be going wrong at once? It seems like fiction. Or a nightmare.

If you ever pitched this as a screenplay in Hollywood, they'd laugh you out of town.

The borders are open and millions of foreign migrants, murderers, terrorists, rapists and dangerous military-age males from Hamas, Hezbollah, MS-13 and our mortal enemy China are pouring in.

Crime is out of control. In Washington, a former Trump administration official was just carjacked and almost killed on a busy street just blocks from the White House.

In New York City, a mob of illegal aliens beat two NYPD cops in the middle of a busy street. Then, after being arrested, they were released within hours with "no bail."

Biden says the economy is roaring, yet UPS just laid off 12,000 employees nationwide. UPS obviously knows Biden is lying.

Inflation is still raging – ask Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen. She just admitted high prices are here to stay. But I didn't need Janet Yellen to tell me. Almost everything I spend my money on is at record highs – my electric bill, car insurance, health insurance, groceries and restaurant bills.

Even worse is the weaponization of government. It feels like we are living in prewar Nazi Germany. Just days ago, a jury convicted a group of peaceful, pro-life, religious Christians of "conspiracy" for praying and singing hymns at an abortion clinic. They face 11 years in prison.

And then there's wars starting around the globe under Biden. Things are so bad, the No. 1 question I get asked at parties is, "Wayne, tell us, what is coming first – a civil war, or World War III? Can we fight both at the same time? Is that possible?"

Everyone is stocking up on guns in preparation for what's coming.

It's no wonder four-times-indicted President Donald Trump is beating the pants off Biden. According to the latest Bloomberg News/Morning Consult poll, Trump is winning by wide margins in all seven swing states. He's up by 10 points in North Carolina, and 8 points in Nevada and Georgia.

Knowing these corrupt creeps and traitors like I do, here is a list of what I believe is coming down the pike in the next nine months, courtesy of the Democrat playbook:

1. We could see more indictments of Trump from now through the election. Maybe even a big one out of left field close to the election – a so-called October surprise.

2. They will try to convict Trump before the November election – and if possible, lead him out of the courtroom in handcuffs, straight to prison.

3. They will keep trying to disqualify Trump – at least until they get a final ruling out of the Supreme Court.

4. If all else fails, I fear the deep state will try to assassinate Trump. They really are that evil.

5. And if all that fails, Biden will drop out of the race for health reasons, and Democrats will choose Michelle Obama as their 2024 presidential nominee. I'm no Johnny-come-lately to this prediction. I made it in print a year ago – on Jan. 22, 2023.

The only issue here is, does Michelle want it? If not, they'll either replace Biden with California Gov. Gavin Newsom or stick with Biden but double down on the other 10 planks in this column to rig the election against Trump.

6. In conjunction with all the above, Democrats will try their best to start World War III as both a WMD (weapon of mass distraction) and to stir up patriotism for the incumbent Democrat president.

7. Democrats could cancel the election with the country paralyzed by waves of deadly terror attacks (with terrorists that Biden waved in with his open borders) or an EMP attack that cripples our water, sewage, electric grid and infrastructure.

8. China will invade Taiwan this year. China needs to move before the election – while the brain-dead man with dementia and diapers, who is bribed and blackmailed by China, is still in control.

9. The COVID pandemic was just a trial run. Another pandemic could strike America in the run-up to the election – but this one will be far deadlier. This will result in panic, hysteria and a 100% mail-in ballot election (the perfect recipe for voter fraud).

10. Black Lives Matter was just a trial run. Expect mass anarchy in the run-up to the election, but much larger than the BLM demonstrations in the summer of 2020 – this time involving not just disgruntled black rioters and looters but millions of illegal aliens combined with pro-Palestinian, pro-Hamas, anti-Israel protesters.

11. And most importantly, combine everything above with the same game plan from 2020:

– Mail-in ballots combined with no voter ID.

– Ballot harvesting (a crime everywhere else in the world but America).

– Unsupervised ballot drop boxes.

– No signature match on ballots.

– Billions of dollars spent on "election integrity" by globalist billionaires – with the real purpose to rig the turnout in favor of Democrats.

– Social media rigging the election by censoring the news feed to allow only fake positive news about Democrats and only negative stories about Trump.

And of course, the simplest scam of all:

– Keep counting votes for days after election night until Democrats win.

Sadly, Mr. Root is probably right about his predictions. The Dems are power hungry and would do just about anything to keep their power.

Since Mr. Root wrote this column, Comrade Kamala has been Briben’s replacement—not Michelle Obama. Probably a good thing. And there was an attempted assignation against Trump but not by the Deep State. Although, they and the Left and it’s surrogates has defined Trump as the “enemy of the deep state” in so many words. So, there’s that. As for the rest, we’ll have to see.

Trump-Reagan Fusion Can Win the New Cold War

Since Donald Trump’s rise within Republican ranks, conservatives have divided into two competing foreign policy camps. One contends that Trump’s approach suits the world in which we live and supersedes previous GOP national security and foreign affairs outlooks. A smaller contingent contends that Ronald Reagan’s understanding of America and his conduct of diplomacy remain the gold standard for U.S. foreign policy.

Atlantic Council colleagues Matthew Kroenig (also a Georgetown professor of government and international relations) and Dan Negrea contend that considerably more agreement about foreign affairs prevails among conservatives than they themselves realize. When fleshed out, a Trump-Reagan fusion represents, they persuasively maintain in their new book, “the foreign policy synthesis around which the Republican Party can coalesce.”

Taking their title from Ronald Reagan’s succinct 1977 statement of his stance toward the Cold War, Kroenig and Negrea argue in “We Win, They Lose: Republican Foreign Policy and the New Cold War” (the acknowledgements thank me although I contributed at most encouragement), that the United States has been thrust into the New Cold War by the People’s Republic of China. Trump administration veterans – Kroenig in the Defense Department and Negrea in the State Department – the authors maintain that Trump’s 2017 National Security Strategy rightly recognized that America had already entered an era of great-power competition with Russia as well as with China.

Notwithstanding “real divisions within the party,” argue Kroenig and Negrea, recognition of “[t]he existential threat posed by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)” provides conservatives “a central, unifying theme.” By combining Reagan’s characteristic “commitment to individual liberty, free markets, and a strong national defense” with Trump’s emphasis “on the interests of all Americans and confronting countries, such as China, whose economic policies harm American interests,” Kroenig and Negrea contend, conservatives can fashion a strategy for winning the New Cold War.

The Trump-Reagan fusion promises much better by respecting America’s founding principles and by concentrating on advancing America’s interests in an increasingly volatile world. The fusion, according to the authors, comprises three chief elements.

First, the Trump-Reagan fusion seeks peace through strength. In the absence of world government – agreed upon international authorities with the power to make and enforce laws and adjudicate the controversies that arise under them – the United States must maintain the world’s most powerful and adroit military and make clear its readiness to use it to secure the nation’s vital interests. Reagan’s defense build-up, which hastened the Soviet Union’s demise, is a classic case of achieving peace by preparing for war.

Second, the Trump-Reagan fusion upholds free and fair trade. Reagan championed free-market and free-trade policies that sparked an economic turnaround in the 1980s and set the stage for dramatic innovation, entrepreneurship, and growth in the 1990s. But the freedom in free trade must be reciprocal, Reagan explained: “If trade is not fair for all, then trade is free in name only.” Trump applied this principle, write the authors, “countering countries like the PRC that systematically violate the rules of international trade.”

Third, the Trump-Reagan fusion takes pride in American exceptionalism. The United States is the world’s only rights-protecting and democratic superpower. Its constitutional system furnishes “an unending source of economic, diplomatic, and military strength that helps the United States excel in geopolitics.” Since the construction of the U.S.-led international order following World War II, the authors observe, democracy has proliferated, poverty has fallen dramatically, and the world has become, by any objective measure, “much safer, richer, and freer.”

To deal with America’s principal national security threats, the authors advance a “conservative deterrence and diplomacy strategy.” China is the foremost threat, and “getting to a point where the Chinese government no longer has the will or the capacity to threaten core U.S. interests” is the chief objective. The United States must operate simultaneously on two tracks, imposing costs on China’s malign conduct – in the economic, diplomatic, and military realms – in regions around the world while building “a pro-freedom, anti-CCP coalition” – which will include friendly authoritarian nations – in hopes of cooperating “with a future, reasonable government in Beijing.” This two-track approach applies also to Russia, Iran, and North Korea – authoritarian powers bent on undermining the U.S.-led global order.
