Former SEIU Official Reveals Secret Plan To “Destabilize” America

A former official of one of the country's most-powerful unions, SEIU, has a secret plan to "destabilize" the country.

The plan is designed to destroy JP Morgan, nuke the stock market, and weaken Wall Street's grip on power, thus creating the conditions necessary for a redistribution of wealth and a change in government.

The former SEIU official, Stephen Lerner, spoke in a closed session at a Pace University forum last weekend. [read more]

Word by word this is what Lerner said:

There are actually extraordinary things we could do right now to start to destabilize the folks that are in power and start to rebuild a movement.

For example, 10% of homeowners are underwater right their home they are paying more for it then its worth 10% of those people are in strategic default, meaning they are refusing to pay but they are staying in their home that's totally spontaneous they figured out it takes a year to kick me out of my home because foreclosure is backed up

If you could double that number you would  you could put banks at the edge of insolvency again.

We have an entire economy that is built on debt and banks so the question would be what would happen if we organized homeowners in mass to do a mortgage strike if we get half a million people to agree  it would literally cause a new finical crisis for the banks not for us we would be doing quite well  we wouldn't be paying anything...

Isn’t this domestic economic terrorism? Where is the just justice department investigating this guy? On, no they are too worried about TEA parties and people who vote for third parties and carry around pocket Constitutions.

What Might Have Been

In his great book The New Reagan Revolution:  How Ronald Reagan's Principles Can Restore America's Greatness (2010), Michael Reagan says his father would have never ran for governor then president if Bobby Kennedy wouldn’t have had the General Electric Theater TV show cancelled.

According to Michael Reagan, President Reagan enjoyed working on the show and it was one consistently ranked in the top ten. He probably would have never quit and ran for governor of California. But because GE was negotiating a contract with the federal gov’t and Ronald Reagan criticized the JFK administration on the show in some of his speeches, Bobby Kennedy had GE cancel the show evidently for revenge. Hence the President had to look for work. You know the rest of the story.

This incident got me wondering. Let’s say in another parallel universe where the GE Theater was not cancelled who would have got the 1980 republican nomination in the primary? Probably George HW Bush. I am assuming of course everything else would have stayed the same. HW was second runner up in the primary race. Would HW have won the general election against Carter? It’s possible. He won against Mondale. So, instead of a strong conservative the country would have had a moderate. All this is speculative of course. GE could have cancelled the show in the far far future since it had good ratings and Reagan might still have ran for office later on.

Let this be a lesson to the vindictive Left. They might think getting a strong conservative fired from a TV show or radio show is a good idea but it might come back to haunt them. Their revenge might end up having Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity or Glenn Beck run for a major office. It would be better for the Left if they just leave those conservatives alone and let them keep their current jobs. Or would they rather have them as POTUS?

Al Qaeda's New Magazine for Women Mixes Beauty and Bomb Tips

You can’t make this stuff up! What exactly does one wear to a homicide bombing anyway? What will be next a cave decorating magazine? Maybe a militant Jihad version of the O(prah) magazine?

Maine gets break in federal health care overhaul

From CNBC.com (March 8):

PORTLAND, Maine - The federal government Tuesday granted Maine a waiver of a key provision in President Barack Obama's health care overhaul, citing the likelihood that enforcement could destabilize the state's market for individual health insurance.

The U.S. Health and Human Services department said in a letter it would waive the requirement that insurers spend 80 cents to 85 cents of every premium dollar on medical care and quality improvement. Instead, the letter said, the state could maintain its 65 percent standard for three years, with the caveat that HHS intends to review the figures after two years.

The decision makes Maine the first state to receive a waiver of the requirement. Similar requests are pending from Kentucky, Nevada and New Hampshire. [read more]

First, if Obamacare is the “ideal” health care system then why have any waivers at all? Second, can the other states (like the ones who are suing to get off this oppressive system) have a waiver like this?

And what about this Section 9 (Limits on Congress) in the Constitution:

No Preference shall be given by any Regulation of Commerce [my emphasis] or Revenue to the Ports of one State over those of another: nor shall Vessels bound to, or from, one State, be obliged to enter, clear, or pay Duties in another.

Then again it isn’t the Congress granting the waiver, but still I think that law would apply to gov’t agencies too following the spirit of the law. True, the waiver is only temporary but it would be nice if all states could get a waiver permanently. Only way to do that is to repeal  Obamacare. And the only way to repeal Obamacare is vote people in Congress who will repeal the law and a president who won’t veto the repeal like Obama would. 

Miscellaneous Thoughts Part 21

• If God is omnipotent then why did He have to rest? I mean being omnipotent means having  infinite energy doesn’t it?
• Procrastinators of the world unite tomorrow! Or maybe next week…
• The reason the Left likes public transportation like trains and buses (other than that they are governmentally controlled) instead of automobiles is because autos represent total freedom.
• If you let one rip and want to blame an animal close to you be sure it is a mammal of the right size. That is don’t blame mice, rats, hamsters, rabbits, etc. 
• I think that if school is cancelled because of a snow day it should be made up on a Saturday instead of shortening summer vacation. Although, the National Teachers Union would not go for this idea.
• Oprah thinks Obama should deserve respect. Well, respect goes both ways. I cannot respect a president who doesn’t respect the Constitution or other Americans.
• Insane thought: Heavy metal country music. Imagine the group Metallica playing steel guitars and violins. It would be music with dark and foreboding lyrics but with a nice country feel. 
• To the elite Left only they are capable of ruling themselves.
• Big Labor likes card check because the leaders can try to intimidate union voters to vote their way. Something tells me they would love to do away with secret ballots in political elections. Voting should always be secret no matter what or who you are voting for.
• The Left is so arrogant that they would think they could persuade evil extraterrestrials bent on conquering the earth that they are on the ET’s side and get massacred later on.

If you notice Sarah Palin got the most likes. This is not too surprising to me. But if you believe the Left-wing pundits you would think she doesn’t even have a fighting chance.

Donald Trump said during the CPAC conference that he did not think Ron Paul had a chance at winning. And yet Ron Paul’s likes are a lot more than his.

I found Buddy Roemer’s candidacy for POTUS by Googling “Presidential Exploratory Committee.” It seems a lot of candidates got to start this committee before deciding to run for president. I wonder if  George Washington, Thomas Jefferson or Abe Lincoln had these committees. Probably not.

The last candidate Harold Heard I saw on my Facebook page. One of my “likes” talked about him so I included him in the table for fun.  Not too bad a guy.

Pentagon Study: ‘08 Financial Crisis May Have Included Work of Financial Terrorists

The Blaze.com reports that in 2008 the Pentagon may have thought the financial crises back then may have included financial terrorists.

The most likely suspects according to the report include Middle Eastern states, Islamic terrorists, hostile members of the Chinese military, or government and organized crime groups in Russia, Venezuela or Iran. Chinese military officials publicly have suggested using economic warfare against the U.S. Wow, that’s a lot of suspects.

According to the Pentagon’s new report, the attack has three stages, two of which may have already been implemented:

• The first phase was a speculative run-up in oil prices that generated as much as $2 trillion of excess wealth for oil-producing nations, filling the coffers of Sovereign Wealth Funds, especially those that follow Shariah Compliant Finance.
• The second phase appears to have begun in 2008 with a series of bear raids targeting U.S. financial services firms that appeared to be systemically significant [such as Bear Stearns and Lehman Brothers]. … This created a system-wide crisis, caused the collapse of the credit markets, and nearly collapsed the global financial system.
• The risk of a Phase Three has quickly emerged, suggesting a potential direct economic attack on the U.S. Treasury and U.S. dollar. Such an event has already been discussed by finance ministers in major emerging market nations such as China and Russia as well as Iran and the Arab states. A focused effort to collapse the dollar by dumping Treasury bonds has grave implications including the possibility of a downgrading of U.S. debt forcing rapidly rising interest rates and a collapse of the American economy. In short, a bear raid against the U.S.financial system remains possible and may even be likely. [Emphasis added]

You can read more of the report if you want. It would have been nice if the Pentagon reported this in 2008. Evidently they think it is important now to release the report.

These are of course all outside threats. But there is another threat to be aware of. And that’s the erosion of American patriotism or nationalism. Basically, love of country. There is nothing wrong with this. If the French, Germans, or Russians love their country that is okay. Heck, I don’t care if Iranians and Chinese love their country. As long as they don’t start attacking other countries or making threats I don’t see a problem.

World War II was not caused because of nationalism. It was caused because a narcissistic power-hungry leader wanted to take over the world. Interestingly enough the German people back then had to swear an absolute oath to Hitler not to German’s constitution or the country.

When you don’t love your country you won’t defend it. Hitler knew this when he invaded France. After WW I the teachers union taught the school children not to love their country. (Does that sound familiar in this country today?)  The teachers union must of thought love of country in Germany started WW I. It didn’t. WW I was caused because of an assassination and a bunch of pacts between countries. 

Now, the teacher unions in America in my opinion are not teaching American nationalism  is because they have  the New World Order mindset. You can’t have a New World Order when there is nationalism in countries.

• God does not believe, He knows because He is omniscience. Man has beliefs because he only has incomplete knowledge of the world and fills the gaps with his beliefs.
• If Communists in America controlled the internet everyone would be using a dial-up connection except of course for the powers-that-be.
• Ben Franklin once said “Early to bed, early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise.” Progressives would want the population of a country only to be healthy. They would overtax the wealthy and keep the population unwise (read: in the dark).
• I wonder if the rich Left applies progressive tip system at restaurants? That is do they tip at a higher rate than people who earn less money than they do? Knowing them they probably don’t tip at all.
• If guns cause violence then what caused violence before the invention of gun-powder?
• Rule 4 from Rules for Radicals: “Make opponents live up to their own book of rules. “ Since we (the Radicals) don’t have any meaningful principles don’t worry about opponents using the rule on us.
• Glenn Beck said if you change yourself you can change the country. This statement sounds like a principle from Complexity Theory: Tiny differences in input could quickly, become overwhelming differences in output. Also, known as the Butterfly Effect.
• So, the Left now wants civil discourse. I say they go first.
• Treating people as part of a group instead of treating them as individuals is beginning of a stereotype or even an “ism” like racism or sexism.

Space weather could wreak havoc in gadget-driven world

Facts and Talking Points for the Wisconsin Budget Showdown

Government employee union reform proposals in Gov. Walker’s budget repair bill:

• Limits collective bargaining for most government sector employees to wages only, with wages capped to inflation;
• Union members given the opportunity to vote every year to keep their union;
• State can no longer collect union dues;
• Requires union members to contribute 5.8% of their salary toward their pensions and 12.6% to the cost of their health insurance premiums.
  • The comparable nationwide employee healthcare contribution is 20% according to the BLS.
  • The comparable employee contribution for retirement was 7.5% in 2009, according to the Employee Benefits Research Institute

The bottom line:

• This is about balancing the budget;
• Compared to the national average, it is a modest proposal to ask government workers to contribute to their healthcare and pension;
• The Governor’s full proposal will save $300 million and prevent approximately 5,500 layoffs of state workers and a similar amount of local government employees and teachers. As a result the Governor’s budget will not include furloughs or layoffs;
• Workers will save money because union dues will not be required or collected by the government;
• This bill has had over 17 hours of public hearings and vigorously debated. It is time for a vote;

The Governor is doing what he was elected to do. His state is in debt. State’s cannot print money like the federal gov’t can so he has to cut somewhere. The unions are scared because they believe he is taking power away from them (probably because members can vote every year to keep their unions. Union bosses don’t like that for sure.) Maybe, but they had a free ride in the state and that is coming to an end. I like everything in the bill. I think it is a fair bill.
One other thing. All those Democrats that ran and hid so a bill couldn’t be passed are cowards. I would say the same thing if the Republicans did the same thing. You stay and argue your case. If you lose the argument then so be it. That’s the way it is. To paraphrase Obama: The Republicans won. Deal with it.

Cleric orders Gaddafi killed

Influential Muslim cleric Yusuf al-Qaradawi has issued a fatwa that any Libyan soldier who can shoot dead embattled leader Muammar Gaddafi should do so 'to rid Libya of him.'

'Whoever in the Libyan army is able to shoot a bullet at Mr Gaddafi should do so,' Qaradawi, an Egyptian-born cleric who is usually based in Qatar, told Al-Jazeera television. [read more]

Why issue a fatwa on Gaddafi? I mean I don’t like the guy but why him? Usually a fatwa is issued if a Muslim is not following the Quran’s dictates. If this fatwa is because Gaddafi is brutal to his fellow countrymen then why not issue a fatwa on Ahmadinejad? He’s just as brutal. Unless there is another reason….

I should note that this cleric is spiritual leader of the Muslim Brotherhood. So, much for them being peaceful.

Too bad some prominent cleric cannot issue a fatwa on Bin Laden.

US Gov. Software Creates 'Fake People' on Social Networks to Promote Propaganda

The US government is offering private intelligence companies contracts to create software to manage "fake people" on social media sites and create the illusion of consensus on controversial issues.

The contract calls for the development of "Persona Management Software" which would help the user create and manage a variety of distinct fake profiles online. The job listing was discussed in recently leaked emails from the private security firm HBGary after an attack by internet activist last week.

According to the contract, the software would "protect the identity of government agencies" by employing a number of false signals to convince users that the poster is in fact a real person. A single user could manage unique background information and status updates for up to 10 fake people from a single computer. [read more]

Why does the gov’t have to create “fake people” anyway? I mean can’t the gov’t find enough real people to create accounts on social media sites? Oh, that’s right to the Left truth is optional especially when very few people agree with your viewpoint.  First, the Left have  dead people and illegals vote for a candidate. Now, this.

What’s next Leftist robots running for Congress? Have someone at a distance control their voting? A progressive’s dream come true.

Comparing the Antichrist and the 12th Imam

Spooky huh. Why is this comparison important? Because the leader of Iran wants the 12th Imam to return soon and that means chaos in the world. It does not matter if anyone else believes what Ahmadinejad believes. It only matters what he believes. Because actions follow beliefs. Just like Hitler’s actions followed his belief system.

To make my point clear, here is what Ahmadinejad says at the end of almost speech he gives:

"hasten the emergence of your last repository, the Promised One [the Mahdi or 12th Imam], that perfect and pure human being, the one that will fill this world with justice and peace"

This is what I am talking about. Should make you nervous.

Obama, Egypt and the Media

Isn’t that a cute poster? Wait a minute. I’ve seen a similar poster somewhere else….Hmmm….But not quite like that one. Don’t remember seeing that poster in the media.

Talking about the media, CNN sent  reporter Nic Robertson to the Egyptian protest and asked this “intelligent” and  “news worthy” questions to protesters: What do you think of Obama?  What is your message for Obama?

I kid you not. I am really getting tired of this adulation that the media has with Obama. If you are going over there and possibly risking your life to get the story and ask questions, I would think asking dumb questions like these would not help anything.  By the way, the protester answers were: Obama, he wasn't with us. Obama, he's been all over the ballpark. Obama, we have no message for Obama. So, much for Obama’s speech in Egypt he gave before being elected POTUS. Obama really has influence with the protesters. Not!

Here are some questions the “reporter” (I know you are getting tired of the quotes, but can you really call this guy a reporter?) could have asked:

• What do you think of the Muslim Brotherhood?
• Do you think the new government of Egypt should break the non-aggression treaty with Israel?
• What do you think of America? What is your message to America?
• Do you think Sharia law should be implemented in Egypt?

You know questions like these about Egypt and the rest of the world would be a good start.  I am surprised the reporter did not ask the protester what he thought about Obamacare. Would have been the same type of question if he did.

An Interpretation of the Georgia Guidestones

I first heard of these guidestones on Brad Meltzer’s Decoded show. No-one other than the stonemasons knows who contracted to build these guidestones in June 1979. The stonemasons know but are not saying. What’s interesting is not who had them built but the inscription on them.

Here are the inscriptions:

1. Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.
2. Guide reproduction wisely - improving fitness and diversity.
3. Unite humanity with a living new language.
4. Rule passion - faith - tradition - and all things with tempered reason.
5. Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.
6. Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court.
7. Avoid petty laws and useless officials.
8. Balance personal rights with social duties.
9. Prize truth - beauty - love - seeking harmony with the infinite.
10. Be not a cancer on the earth - Leave room for nature - Leave room for nature.

Inscription #1 sounds like population control from Paul R. Ehrlich’s The Population Bomb book.

Inscription #2 sounds like eugenics.

Inscriptions #3 #5, and #6 sound like parts of the New World Order.

Inscriptions #4 and #9 aren’t too bad.  Kind of new agey. It would been nice if he used the word “God” or “Almight” or even “The Creator” instead of “the infinite.”

Not sure what inscription #7 means. The word “petty” is not well defined. And how do you define “useless”?   Is the author talking about gov’t bureaucrats when he mentions “officials”?

Inscription #8 sounds like collectivism. What “social duties” does the author mean?

Finally, inscription #10 sounds environmentalism. “Cancer” is a strong word to use.

If these stones are meant to help people after a global catastrophe to restart society again then I think the guidestones will fail. Putting the 10 Commandments or even The Bill of Rights on them would have been a better idea. Heck, even the Buddha’s Precepts would be better and I’m not even a Buddhist. I don’t think the author put much thought into the advice.

We may not know who the author is but I can tell you what his ideology is: He’s a far-Leftist.

Four Divisions of the Land and Freedom Society

This Marxist society was pre-revolutionary Russia. It was formed before the Bolshevist Revolution. Here are the four steps they wanted to do to destabilize Russia and overthrow the czar:

1. Agitation--passive and active. Passive agitation included strikes, petitions for reforms, refusal to pay taxes, and so on. Active agitation meant riots and uprisings.  (Bottom-up?)
2. Organization--the formation of a fighting force prepared to bring about a general uprising. (Bottom-up again?)
3. Education--the spreading of revolutionary knowledge and ideas, a continuation of the work of the Tchaikovsky Circle. (Inside out?)
4. Secularization--the carrying on of systematic work against the Orthodox Church through special channels. (Inside out? Get people to turn away from God and lose their faith.)

This sounds similar to what the Leftist radicals are doing today. Of course, the top-down part is where the Communist Party became the rulers.

20 Something “TEA” parties?

I think the 20 somethings should form their own “TEA” parties and protest paying into Society Security. They are not going to get their money back when they retire (actually anyone under 47 won’t get their money back) so why should they pay into it? They should put pressure on Congress to make it optional. They could also put pressure on Congress to balance the budget too. That’s a burden on the young  and their future children.

The Islamists Conning the Far-Left

How’s that for a title? But I believe it is true. The far-Left think they have commonality with the militant Jihadists. This is true. Both groups hate the free-market system and both hate Israel. You can read Unholy Alliance : radical Islam and the American Left (2004) by David Horowitz for more similarities. Even the Islamists are using the term “social justice.”  There is even a socialism called “Islamic Socialism.” That should make the radicals smile.
The far-Left think there is an alliance between them and Islamists. This is what the Islamists want the far-Left to believe. This is the con. The Islamists are just using the naive far-Left for their own purposes. The Muslim Brotherhood’s third step of their plan is to “infiltrate America’s political, social, economic, and educational systems…”
Just like Hitler duped the leaders of the Soviet Union (he broke the treaty with them before WWII), the far-Left are being duped by the Islamists. The Left are so naive. They cannot control the Islamists. Once the Islamists are doing using the Left they will kill them. Well, if they are Jewish or Christian they might try to convert them to Islam. If that doesn’t work then it is either slavery or death. If a Leftist is an atheist or agnostic or any other religion they are dead. If a Leftist is a homosexual they are dead.
If a Leftist insults Allah, Muhammad or the Quran then they will be killed.
Make no mistake, the Islamists are not friends of the radical Left. As long as the radical Left are not Muslim fundamentalists then they will be treated as the enemy.

Well, Booth was from the south during the Civil War and he was against the Union. That’s why I classified him as anti-gov’t. Plus, conservatism wasn’t even an ideology back then. And the Republican party was brand new too.

As for James Earl Ray well anyone can be a racist. That might not be the real motive for the assassination anyway. This murderer had a history of crimes and probably wanted to be infamous.

You can’t say Hinckley Jr. is a conservative. I don’t remember the press ever questioning if he was on the far-Left or not though. I wonder why. Hmmm….

China blocks 'Egypt' from Internet searches, concerned anti-Hosni Mubarak riots could inspire unrest

The country's Communist Party has ordered Internet censors to block the word "Egypt" from Twitter-like micro-blogging sites out of apparent concern events in the Middle East will stoke unrest closer to home, the Wall Street Journal reported.

So, if a Chinese national wants to do research on let’s say Egyptian mummies he or she is pretty much out of luck.

If the Chinese gov’t is nervous about Egypt I bet other dictators around the world are nervous as well.  Like the king of Saudi Arabia. He probably is watching closely—he could be next.

Obama (and I’ve heard another Lefty say this too) that Egypt’s change of gov’t is good when Mubarak leaves. I am really getting tired of the term “change” being used all time.  Change is not always good. In this case if the Muslim Brotherhood takes over Egypt then that is definitely not good. Hamas has already taken over Palestine's gov’t. Can you imagine what Israel's leaders (and probably Israel’s citizens) must be thinking. If change means a democratic republic with bill of rights like America’s then that is good change.

It’s funny that CBS Evening news last night described Egypt’s protesters as “moderate and peaceful.” How does the press know how strong the protester’s religious views are? I am not saying they are not, but who really knows? It would have been nice if the press would have given that benefit of the doubt to TEA partiers. Oh, well. That’s just wishful thinking.

The Trouble with Wind Farms

From the Telegraph.co.uk (Jan. 1):

Despite high demand for electricity as people shivered at home over Christmas, most of the 3,000 wind turbines around Britain stood still due to a lack of wind.

Even yesterday , when conditions were slightly breezier, wind farms generated just 1.8 per cent of the nation’s electricity — less than a third of usual levels.

The failure of wind farms to function at full tilt during December forced energy suppliers to rely on coal-fired power stations to keep the lights on — meaning more greenhouse gases were produced. [read more]

Make sense to me. If you don’t have wind, you don’t have energy. Plus I don’t think the turbines store any energy either.

To make things worse British customers face huge bill for wind farms that don't work in the cold as reported in the Telegraph too.

The moral of this story is if you rely on an energy source that is not at a consistent level all the time you will have these problems. Ask T. Boone Pickens about his investment in wind farms. He is not putting wind farms in Texas as he originally intended. Solar power is a little better. Even then you have to worry about the sun going behind a cloud or even setting. When dealing with inconsistent energy sources you always have to take into account the location of the source or you’ll have more scenarios like the one in England. 

The Progressive Manual for the Masses

Here are the rules that Cattle must follow at all times:

1. Always follow the orders of your Rancher without question. If you are confused about any order please let your Rancher know. It is his responsibility to make sure you understand his message or order.
2. Don’t cause trouble. This will make your fellow Cattle upset.
3. You cannot assemble into herds by yourself unless you have permission from a Rancher.
4. Weapons are not allowed. Cattle owning weapons is dangerous to themselves and to Ranchers. Only Ranchers can own weapons.
5. You will always be Cattle. Never think you are a Rancher.
6. Religion is not allowed. This will only confuse you and make you rebellious.
7. The above rules must never be questioned. They are there for your own good. Any rule breaking is punishable.

(This analogy is not meant to be an insult to real Ranchers. I am just trying to make a point.

Of course, the elite Left does not think people are real cattle. The Left just perceive them to be and wish they were cattle. That way people are easily managed or easily controlled.

Interestingly enough, there were schools of thought in psychology that thought people did not have very much free will. One was Freudism and the other was Behavorism. Freudism though people were controlled by instincts. Behaviorism thought people were conditioned by the environment. Basically people were programmed like robots was the prevailing “wisdom” of the day.)

Socialism 101 Part 2

It follows directly from socialism’s fundamental moral and political premise, which is that the individual does not exist as an end in himself, but as a means to the ends of “Society.”

Private slave owners were motivated to treat their slaves with at least the same consideration they gave to their livestock, and to see to it that their overseers acted with the same consideration. But under socialism, the slaves are “public property”—the property of the state. Those who have charge of the slaves, therefore, have no personal economic interest in their lives or well-being. Since they are not owners of the slaves, they will not derive any personal material benefit if the slaves are alive to work in the future, nor suffer any personal material loss if the slaves are not alive to work in the future.

The fact that [an] enterprise is government owned merely means that it is operated without benefit of profit-and-loss incentives and the freedoms of individual initiative and competition. The result is almost always gross inefficiency, high costs, poor service, and low quality of products.

Government ownership does not give the alleged citizen-owner the psychological security that the possession of capital gives to a capitalist. Because, unlike the capitalist, he cannot sell his share in a government enterprise. Nor—except in the most unusual cases—does he receive dividends on his share.

Six Powers of the Secretary of HHS under Obamacare

The following powers of the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) are from the Center for Health Transformation:

1. The Secretary will decide what clinical drugs seniors can access. (Section 3307)
2. The Secretary will instruct physicians and nurses exactly how to give a drug to their patients in long-term care facilities. (Section 3310)
3. The Secretary will determine how dentists and dental hygienists should examine your teeth. (Section 4102)
4. The Secretary can overrule states on what insurance rates can be whether they like it or not. (Section 2101)
5. The Secretary can use comparative effectiveness research to determine access to care for seniors, like they do for patients in the British National Health Service. (Section 3102)
6. The Secretary can set standard hospital charges that hospitals have to follow.

If go the the CHT website they have a chart that lists 1,968 grants and powers of Obamacare. That’s quite a few.

The Republicans should focus on the unconstitutionality of Obamacare. The gov’t does not have the right to force any citizen to buy health insurance. That would be like them forcing a person to buy low-fat ice cream. Force the advocates of Obamacare to defend the position that they can force you to buy health insurance.

I am not saying the other issues of Obamacare are not important. Increasing unemployment and increasing the debt are important. But  Obamacare is against what  America fundamentally stands for---freedom. The Senate should vote up or down on whether the Washington has the right to force citizens to buy insurance.

Climate change study had 'significant error': experts

WASHINGTON (AFP) – A climate change study that projected a 2.4 degree Celsius increase in temperature and massive worldwide food shortages in the next decade was seriously flawed, scientists said Wednesday.

The study was posted on the website of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and was written about by numerous international news agencies, including AFP.

But AAAS later retracted the study as experts cited numerous errors in its approach. [read more]

The whole climate change theory is flawed in my opinion.

A scientific advisor to the report said: “We are headed to 2.4, it is just not going to happen in 2020." Try never going to happen period.

City puts a stop to homeless outreach

Bobby and Amanda Herring spent more than a year providing food to homeless people in downtown Houston every day. They fed them, left behind no trash and doled out warm meals peacefully without a single crime being committed, Bobby Herring said.

That ended two weeks ago when the city shut down their "Feed a Friend" effort for lack of a permit. And city officials say the couple most likely will not be able to obtain one.

Anyone serving food for public consumption, whether for the homeless or for sale, must have a permit, said Kathy Barton, a spokeswoman for the Health and Human Services Department. To get that permit, the food must be prepared in a certified kitchen with a certified food manager.

The regulations are all the more essential in the case of the homeless, Barton said, because "poor people are the most vulnerable to food borne illness and also are the least likely to have access to health care." [read more]

They were shut down because they did not have a “certified” kitchen with a “certified” food manager? I think the the city managers are certified nuts. Then again that’s bureaucracy for you. Just wait, someone will be fined for giving a sandwich to a homeless person. After all the sandwich might not be made in a certified kitchen. Who knows.

The HHS department said they made this regulation to protect the homeless from food poison. I would think not starving to death would be more important to the homeless than getting sick. True, getting sick would be bad, but not as bad as starving to death. Couldn’t HHS just fined the outreach program instead of just shutting them down? Seems kind of harsh.

I wonder if the HHS would shut down homeless shelters if they weren’t “certified.” Probably. They would say the shelters did not keep the homeless warm or cool enough depending on the season. Didn’t have a certified temperature manager.

So, some police officers asked the outreach program to move to a location on city park land. Guess what happened next? If you said they weren’t allowed there either you would be correct.  They didn’t have permits (one from the parks department and one from health department) to move there! Sounds like a badly written comedy skit save for the fact it actually happened.

OPEC ministers say world can handle $100 oil

CAIRO — The global economy can withstand an oil price of $100 a barrel, Kuwait's oil minister said on Saturday, as other exporters indicated OPEC may decide against increasing output through 2011 as the market was well supplied.

Arab oil exporters meeting in Cairo this weekend said they saw no need to supply more crude as stocks were high and prices had been inflated temporarily by cold weather in Europe.

Asked by Reuters if the world economy could stand a $100 oil price, Kuwaiti Oil Minister Sheikh Ahmad al-Abdullah al-Sabah said: "Yes it can." [read more]

America really needs to start drilling for oil again so we don’t have to rely on OPEC so much. And the POTUS putting a moratorium on off-shore drilling is just plain stupid. It wasn’t an American drilling rig that spilled oil in the Gulf of Mexico.

We can all use sources of energy to be energy independent but oil is the blood of the economy. Almost every product uses it. Corn-based ethanol isn’t the answer either.

Oh, by the way, didn’t America save Kuwait’s butt in the Gulf War? You would think they would give countries that helped them out a break. I guess not.

Retracted autism study an 'elaborate fraud,' British journal finds

A now-retracted British study that linked autism to childhood vaccines was an "elaborate fraud" that has done long-lasting damage to public health, a leading medical publication reported Wednesday.

An investigation published by the British medical journal BMJ concludes the study's author, Dr. Andrew Wakefield, misrepresented or altered the medical histories of all 12 of the patients whose cases formed the basis of the 1998 study -- and that there was "no doubt" Wakefield was responsible.

"It's one thing to have a bad study, a study full of error, and for the authors then to admit that they made errors," Fiona Godlee, BMJ's editor-in-chief, told CNN. "But in this case, we have a very different picture of what seems to be a deliberate attempt to create an impression that there was a link by falsifying the data." [read more]

It’s one thing if scientists make human errors when doing a study, but it’s a completely different matter when they deliberately falsify data. Governmental policies are made from scientific studies. Bad studies lead to bad policies. Politicians and the public who are not an expert in the field of a specific science trust the study. 

Once upon a time science was about finding the truth. Early scientists wanted to know the mind of God when they were searching for the truth. Now it seems sadly that modern scientists are about politics,  money and/or status (read: to get published in a major science journal). Truth is not a priority anymore. I really hope that trend doesn’t continue or science will get a bad reputation and no-one will trust it anymore.

Russia Wants "Impenetrable" Missile Shield by 2020, General Says

Now isn’t that interesting! Russia did not want America to have a missile shield in central Europe but they want one themselves.

Look I don’t blame any country for protecting themselves. That’s fine. What I do mind is any country telling America we can’t have one.  Then to have our naive leaders believing  that not having any kind of protection will make America and the world safe. That’s not just plain nuts. It’s dangerous too.

Concern over proposed Greek border fence

Athens, Greece (CNN) -- Greece's decision to build a 12-kilometer (7.5-mile) fence along its border with Turkey in a bid to curb illegal immigration has caused mixed reactions, with humanitarian agencies saying the fence could prevent asylum seekers from reaching safety.

Greek Public Order Minister Christos Papoutsis announced the decision, saying "action is necessary" because more than 100,000 people have entered Greece illegally in the past year, and the country "can no longer tolerate such high numbers."

The European Union border control agency Frontex has said that in October 2010, an average of 245 people per day crossed into Greece illegally, mostly from the overland crossing with Turkey in northeastern Greece. That's where the proposed fence is to be built. [read more]

What? Greece doesn’t believe in open borders? Someone alert George Soros. The Communists in Greece are upset about the fence. Well, they are upset because if countries put up fences then that kind of ruins the New World Order plan.

As a side note Turkey’s population is 99% Muslim while Greece’s population is 98% Christian (Greek Orthodox).  If I was a Leftist I would think that Greece had Islamophobia and that’s why they are building the fence.

Then again Greece’s “freedom” ranking is much higher than Turkey’s freedom ranking.  Could that explain the mass migration to Greece? Just a thought.

Socialism 101

The following excerpts comes from the ebook Capitalism: A Treaty on Economics by George Reisman. Keep the excerpts in mind when thinking about Obamacare:

Capitalism has planning—the planning of each and every person who participates in the economic system.

The most fundamental fact about socialism is that government ownership of the means of production constitutes an attempt to make intelligence and initiative in production a monopoly of the state.

Socialism simply prohibits all of the independent planning of millions of free, self-interested individuals that is required to run an economic system in a rational and ordered way.

It follows from the powerlessness of the plain citizens that the government of a socialist country is not and has no reason to be interested in anyone’s values but those of its rulers.

Under socialism, economic development is possible only under the kind of tyranny and mass murder practiced by Stalin.

Now the way socialism is to achieve a price system is by dividing the socialist economy up into separate sections or firms. Each will be assigned a balance at the government’s central bank. The government will set prices for all goods and services. At least on paper, these firms will then buy from and sell to each other; they will also sell to consumers and pay wages. They will pay interest on capital to the government’s central bank and even to other enterprises, and they will record profits and losses.

Self-interest, operating under the freedom of competition, is the driving force of price determination under capitalism. Government control of prices thwarts this driving force.

“Market socialism” wants the socialist government to place capital in the hands of firms and individuals who will have absolutely no incentives of ownership, and then to give them discretion as to its investment. It wants the government to delegate its responsibility for investment to them, by giving them capital and then telling them to go and make believe they are capitalists.

In sum, the essential facts are these. Socialism must commence with an enormous act of theft. Those who seriously want to steal must be prepared to kill those whom they plan to rob. In effect, the Social Democrats are mere con men and pickpockets, who engage in empty talk about pulling the “big job”—socialism— someday, and who flee before the first sign of resistance by their intended victims.

If socialism is not to be achieved by open force, the only other way it can be achieved is behind people’s backs—i.e., by fraud—which is the method of price and wage controls. This was the route chosen by the Nazis.

Since a socialist economic system functions in a state of continuous chaos and chronic crisis, it is very easy for any given official to be singled out and blamed for some disaster caused by socialism’s anarchy of production.

Cops: Man playing real-life 'Frogger' hit by SUV

From Associated Press (Dec. 30, 2010):

CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) — A man has been hospitalized after police in South Carolina say he was hit by an SUV while playing a real-life version of the video game "Frogger."

Authorities said the 23-year-old man was taken to a hospital in Anderson after he was struck at around 9 p.m. Monday.

In the "Frogger" arcade game, players move frogs through traffic on a busy road and through a hazard-filled river. Before he was hit, police say the man had been discussing the game with his friends. [read more]

Well, that’s a smart idea. Not! Excuse me I must have left my brains at home.

A 23-year old discussing a game invented in 1981? The game is older that he is! I remember the game when it came out (yes, I am dating myself). I guess game manufactures are bringing back the classics for the younger generation. Plus you can play Frogger online.

I am glad this idiot err I mean this man is okay—well he is in stable condition anyway. The accident could have been much much worse.

Earth project aims to 'simulate everything'

An international group of scientists are aiming to create a simulator that can replicate everything happening on Earth - from global weather patterns and the spread of diseases to international financial transactions or congestion on Milton Keynes' roads.

Nicknamed the Living Earth Simulator (LES), the project aims to advance the scientific understanding of what is taking place on the planet, encapsulating the human actions that shape societies and the environmental forces that define the physical world. [read more]

Interesting. But I get nervous when George Soros likes this project. Soros comments:

"The team of scientists that Dr. Helbing has gathered together can, I believe, make a significant contribution to the understanding of the evolution and change in societies as they meet the formidable issues of governance, climate change, sustainable economic balance that we are all faced with in the coming decades."

The UN (or any socialistic leaders) could use this modeling to make economic or political policy. They could justify almost any policy using this project as a defense. Is this LES a precursor to the New World Order?

If this simulator says socialism is a good idea then you know the data going into it is bogus.

Holograms on cell phones coming in five years, IBM predicts

From Computerworld.com (Dec. 27):

In five years, cell phones will be able to produce holograms of friends and colleagues talking and moving in real time, IBM researchers say.

"We see 3D [video] technology moving into the cell phone, which will have the ability to transmit information off the cell phone to create a 3D hologram, projecting the hologram on any surface in life size," said Paul Bloom, IBM's CTO for telecommunications research, in a recent interview. Obama Returns to End-of-Life Plan That Caused Stir

WASHINGTON — When a proposal to encourage end-of-life planning touched off a political storm over “death panels,” Democrats dropped it from legislation to overhaul the health care system. But the Obama administration will achieve the same goal by regulation, starting Jan. 1.

Under the new policy, outlined in a Medicare regulation, the government will pay doctors who advise patients on options for end-of-life care, which may include advance directives to forgo aggressive life-sustaining treatment.

“While we are very happy with the result, we won’t be shouting it from the rooftops because we aren’t out of the woods yet,” Mr. Blumenauer’s office said in an e-mail in early November to people working with him on the issue. “This regulation could be modified or reversed, especially if Republican leaders try to use this small provision to perpetuate the ‘death panel’ myth.”  [read more]

I also heard this on Fox News too. Will  doctors get a bonus if they are able to persuade a patient to forg0 aggressive life-sustaining treatment? Nah. Then again since the gov’t is paying for the treatment they can dictate what treatments they will cover—you know like health insurance companies do now. And if the gov’t runs out of money for the treatment guess what will happen next. That’s right—no treatment at all or the minimal amount of treatment. And you have no choice or option in the matter since the gov’t is all you have for health insurance.

Environmentalists Can Be Smug Jerks

I read this first in Popular Science August 2010:

According to a study, when people feel they have been morally virtuous by saving the planet through their purchases of organic baby food, for example, it leads to the "licensing [of] selfish and morally questionable behavior", otherwise known as "moral balancing" or "compensatory ethics".

“Do Green Products Make Us Better People” is published in the latest edition of the journal Psychological Science. Its authors, Canadian psychologists Nina Mazar and Chen-Bo Zhong, argue that people who wear what they call the "halo of green consumerism" are less likely to be kind to others, and more likely to cheat and steal. "Virtuous acts can license subsequent asocial and unethical behaviors," they write.

Well, people have been conned if they buy green products they are saving the world. So, of course environmentalists think they are better (read: do-gooders) who don’t buy green products. They develop a superiority complex.

There is nothing wrong with cleaning up pollution, recycling and even reusing certain products. That’s practical environmentalism. We are custodians of the planet. But thinking if you saving earth by using some green product is saving the earth—you are deluding yourself. You don’t have that much power over it. And if you worship the earth over God—you are a pagan.

The Mighty Casey

The following plot summary comes from a Twilight Zone episode called The Mighty Casey broadcasted first in 1960:

"Mouth" McGarry, the manager of a broken-down baseball team on its last legs, allows a robot named Casey to play on his team. Casey has the ability to throw super-fast balls that cannot be hit. Eventually, after Casey is beaned by a ball and given a physical examination, the National League finds out and rules that Casey must be taken off the team because he is not human. Casey's inventor, Dr. Stillman, gives him an "artificial" heart to have him classified as human. Now that Casey has human emotions, he refuses to throw his fast balls anymore. He says that he feels empathy with the batter and does not want to ruin the batter's career by striking him out.

Is it me or did Casey turn into a liberal after getting that “heart” (which was just a ticking clock)? He certainly became politically correct. I know this is just fiction but I don’t think striking out a batter would ruin his career. It seems he became completely emotional and lost all logical thought—real strange for a robot. Then again for liberal robot it might make some sort of weird sense.
I am not sure what Rod Serling’s political stance was but I think he may have been poking fun at the left.

• Why not have self-serve pat downs at airports?
• If the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany had completely different ideologies then why did the Soviet Union make a treaty with Germany? You don’t make a treaty with someone you don’t have affinity with.
• If you are an introvert or an individualist in a collectivist state then you might be diagnosed as mentally ill by that same state.
• I think Glenn Beck should interview George Soros in a neutral meeting place like France.
• When going ghost hunting it might be a good idea not to eat any gaseous food before hunting. The food might cause contamination during the hunting.
• Oatmeal and oat bran are Drano for the intestines.
• An euphuism for flatulence:  Bending air.
• The phrase “climate change” makes as much sense as asking someone how they feel and the reply is “I’m emotional.”
• Pot heads of the world unite! And do nothing or you know you might go and get some munchies and laugh uncontrollably….
• Helen Keller must have had it bad. She could not hear someone yelling “Watch out for that…!”

Strange Thinking…Or Maybe Not

There are those in Congress who think that you cannot give income tax relief if it is not paid for.  Now, taxpayers like me would say that doesn’t make any sense. Not paid for? The gov’t is not giving any money to taxpayers. Income belongs to the taxpayer. And the taxpayer gives money to the gov’t via taxes.
But you are not thinking with the correct mindset. Those with this mindset thinks any income the gov’t doesn’t receive via taxes is a cost to the gov’t. A Congressman actually said this. Therefore if tax relief is a cost then the gov’t has to get the money from somewhere else other than taxes. Got it?
If you don’t get it then think of it this way: You are an employee and your boss has announced there will be no more raises until business improves. Until you get paid your paycheck or bonus is the property of the company you work for. It controls your pay. Certain Congressmen think they are your boss. That the money you give to the gov’t via taxes is their money or the government’s. Not yours. Tax relief in their eyes is a raise for you. Understand now? Kind of confusing huh.
If this a strange mindset for the everyday person it is not for those in power who have this mindset. It completely makes sense for them. And there’s the rub. This mindset is not strange for them.

The Inside-Out Strategy

The former White House green jobs czar Van Jones said this:

The opportunity is to recognize that a governing movement is three things: It's top-down — you handled that, you got the White House, the Senate and the House. You handled the top-down. But it's also bottom-up and inside-out. Top-down, bottom-up and inside-out. So now your challenge, as you leave here — our challenge — is to take care of that bottom-up part and that inside-out part: the heart part. That's where we're weak now. And we have the chance as we move forward to take the old admonition from the South African movement and govern from below.

Visualize this: You, the citizen, are the inside-out part inside a clamp where the radicalized gov’t is the top-down part of the clamp and the rioters like the labor unions are the bottom-up part of the clamp. The far-Left wants you squeezed. This is what happened during the Bolshevik revolution in 1917. You get people scared, confused, and frustrated and then they want someone to save them ie the gov’t.  Could this be happening in America today?

Well, the tax code is confusing that is for sure. Frustrating is right up there.

Then there is Obamacare. That is definitely confusing. Scary? A real possibility since it takes some of your rights away.

Could airport security scans and searches be part of this plan?

Or how about increasing prices on food and oil or other staples of life. That would make people scared or at least worried.

And how about that smart grid technology that gives the gov’t the power to control your heating and air conditioning and other things as well?

The radicals want people dependent on the gov’t and panicking.  They don’t want people thinking about what’s happening around them. The radicals need people’s mind and hearts inside-out. Otherwise this plan fails.

The Magic Square Analogy

If you add the rows, columns, the longest diagonals, and even the four corners of the inner and outer squares you get the sum of  34.  If you notice every number is unique. Because of this you cannot swap one number with another without breaking the balance. The “magic” would then disappear.  This I believe is the essence of individualism. Each member contributes his own uniqueness.

Contrast the magic square with the square above. Most of the columns, and diagonals add up to 34. But the four corners don’t and one diagonal does not add up to 34. This square has no “magic”. And it is very boring to look at I think. You can make a magic square out of this square though by removing 10’s. But then it would be really uninteresting. This is the essence of collectivism. Everybody is the same. No individuality. And if you don’t fit in the collective group like the 10’s you might be called an outsider and even exiled from the group to create some artificial balance.  Also, the above square is what wealth-redistributionists have in mind unlike the magic square where everyone is free to earn their own income level.

Magic squares have been around for a long time. Even Benjamin Franklin was fascinated by them. That’s where I first learned of them by reading a book about him.

Washington Set to Control Your Light Switch

The next step in Green won’t even require Congressional approval. The Department of Energy recently decided they have authority over appliances in your home. Energy Secretary Steven Chu recently issued five new energy efficiency standards for large appliances, and is reworking the policy to include ten new categories. According to Assistant Energy Secretary Cathy Zoi “…we have a mandate. Where we can actually just issue regulations and do market transformation.”

It is like we are moving backwards in time, seeing modern life outlawed one convenience at a time. Right now social engineers are busy working on “Smart Grid” technology. (The perennial question: if environmental choices are actually so intelligent, why do the marketers have to convince us, with names like “Smart Car,” and “Insight?”) The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 set aside $11 billion dollars to begin construction of that grid.

Smart Grid sounds harmless and modern, but it will be incredibly intrusive. Appliances in the future will have microchips installed; when you plug them in, they will handshake with the grid, and a central authority will determine whether that appliance deserves to get power or not. If a bureaucrat in Washington decides that it’s not hot enough for you to put on the air conditioner, your air conditioner will not work. If the Fed decides that Margaritas lead to too much trouble on Cinco de Mayo, all blenders can be disabled for the day.

They can also turn off radios, televisions and computers. In the era of electronic information, restricting the freedom of the press is as easy as turning off the light. The idea is to conserve power, but a Smart Government will be able to use the technology to retain power as well. [read more]

  This is exactly what a dictatorship wishes it could do. This is close to absolute control as you can get. So, if the Obama administration does not want anyone to listen to Rush Limbaugh or Glenn Beck or anyone else it deems a threat to its policies it can zap the electricity to any radio that is tuned to that station during that time slot. Nice. Real nice.

Why Private Property Rights Matter

If though most readers knows what private property is I’ll explain it anyway for those who don’t. Private property is the clothes you own, the car you own, the house you own, etc. Basically anything that you own is private property including money. The key word here is private. Otherwise the state owns the property and can do what it wants with the property.
Since you own the property you can give it away, loan it out, or even destroy it if you wish. It is yours to do whatever you want with it.  But nobody can take it without your permission. “Thou shall not steal.” as it says in The Ten Commandments. God put that commandment in there for a reason. Owning private property is natural for mankind. It is part of our nature. It is even part of the Buddha’s Five Precepts. In a communal society stealing is not even a concept. How can you steal X from someone when everyone in the society owns X? By that very definition if you own X too then you are not stealing.
You could still get in trouble if you take something from somebody without the state’s permission. Since the state really owns the property it decides who gets what.  You might be taking something that was intended for someone else determined by the state. Or you could take something that was private property of the state and only the state. You really think private property will be  completely abolished in a communal society? The powers-that-be will always own their private property. That’s the way it was in the Soviet Union.
Also, if two or more people want the same object then someone has to determine who gets the object. Who you think that will be? Someone in authority of course like the state. If we are talking about large numbers of people like 10 or more people then the state has to determine who will get the object.  Smaller groups of people could get away with a pure communal society but even that could be problematic unless they are family or close friends.  By the way, if the state wants that object too then guess who gets it. The state of course. It will always get the best of everything.
Here are other things to think about in a communal society: The state could take something from you and give it to someone you don’t like or you don’t think needs it or deserves it. This could happen if the receiver is a friend or relative of the state. Also, if you spend time, effort, and/or money in making a product and then the state takes it from you and gives it to someone else where is the incentive to make it again just to have the state take it away from you again? None, unless you are making it for yourself and doing it for fun.

Soros group maps out Obama strategy for next 2 years

A George Soros-funded think tank with deep ties to the White House has written a roadmap for President Obama to bypass the new Republican Congress and rule for the next two via executive order.

The plan calls for Obama to push a "progressive agenda" on issues of health care, economy, environment, education, federal government and foreign policy. [read more]

Well, that’s something unexpected. Not! If George Soros is the puppet master as Glenn Beck hypothesizes then who is the puppet? Barack Obama maybe? George Soros has been to the White House a couple of times.

Congressional Pay: A Good Idea

This idea I endorse comes from Glenn Beck. He stated this idea on his TV show on last Friday:

Congressman — here it is — congressman shall not be paid — shall not be paid more than those who are currently serving on the front line of duty. They shall never make more than that.

There's no reason why congressmen should be able to enrich themselves — make more than a guy who's on the front lines fighting, somebody who is in a tank right now, somebody else who is risking his life to save a child in another country. Are you kidding me? There is no justification for congressional salaries, none.

Demand Congress lower their salaries and their benefit to the same benefits offered to our soldiers, period.

Right on! How’s that for economic justice as the Left likes to say. Congress can either lower their salaries to equal that of the soldiers or raise the soldiers salaries to equal theirs. Or better yet, have Congress and the soldiers swap salaries for awhile. After all America is in debt and Congress can make some sacrifices like they want the taxpayers to do all the time.

Beck also thought that federal employees should not be paid higher than those serving in the front line of duty. Not bad either.

The Benefits of Banning Federal Funding

Ruth Fischbach and John Loike of Columbia University’s Center for Bioethics have noted that the George W. Bush administration’s 2001 federal funding ban on human embryonic stem-cell research led scientists kicking and screaming into developing alternative cell-transformation approaches---approaches that now show tremendous promise for new treatments.
What’s the moral of this story? Even research scientists are human. Instead of looking for alternatives they looked only for one solution because the gov’t discouraged other alternatives by not funding other alternatives—not deliberately but the result was still the same.  But when President Bush banned federal funding (he did not ban all funding, just federal) he made the researchers look for other sources of funding (like investment bankers, wealthy businessmen, etc.) or alternative approaches to the problem. In other words, Bush let the market decide not the government.
The moral above can be applied to other research the gov’t funds. In essence, the gov’t is saying “this research X  is the best research.” Which may or may not be true.  Especially in the long run when we can look at the results later on.

The 15-day Calendar

The following is a 15-day calendar developed by Damon Vickers in his book The Day After the Dollar Crashes: A Survival Guide for the Rise of the New World Order  when America’s debt is monetized:

Day 1: China says no more bonds.

Day 2: Markets are spooked. Little eerie, quiet, but there's a — there's a kind of a hush all over Wall Street.

Day 3:  Rumors are happening.

Day 4:  Asian markets start to fall.

Day 5:  Dow plunges 900, maybe 1,000 points in 20 minutes.

Day 6: Europe raises their interest rates.

Day 7:  The market starts to rally.

Day 8: The market sells off 900 points.

Day 9: Market stabilizes.

Day 10: The dollar plunges. Ten to 15%.

Day 11: The Federal Reserve meet and then raises the interest rates 5 percent to 6 percent.

Day 12: The Dow falls 3,000 points in one day.

Day 13: The IMF and G20 meet.

Day 14: New World Order.

Day 15: People start breaking into the banks.

I haven’t actually read the book, but it sounds interesting and unnerving.  This information comes from a Glenn Beck TV show transcript.

The Things That Are Unseen Speech

The following speech was given by then Vice President Calvin Coolidge in 1923 at Wheaton College:

We do not need more material development, we need more spiritual development. We do not need more intellectual power, we need more  moral power. We do not need more knowledge, we need more character. We do not need more government, we need more culture. We do not need more law, we need more religion. We do not not need more  of the things that are seen, we need more of the things that are unseen. It is on that side of life that it is desirable to put  the emphasis at the present time. If that side be strengthened, the other side will take care of itself. It is that side which is the foundation of all else. If the foundation be firm, the superstructure will stand. The success or failure of liberal education, the justification of its protection and encouragement by the government, and of its support by society, will be measured by its ability to minister to this great cause, to perform the necessary services, to make the required redeeming sacrifices.

This speech should be displayed in the halls of Congress and The White House—especially today—minus the part about liberal education. He could have added  “We need more humility.” Interesting speech.

An Anatomy of a Crisis

This is how the far-Left plan to bring about the New World Order in America:

First, create or exploit a current crises in the country. This can be done by monetizing the debt so the dollar is worthless. No country will want to loan us money or buy any product from us. This will create hyperinflation. Creating high unemployment by high-taxation and over-regulation all businesses. Corrupting main stream religions with Marxism (collective salvation and social justice) and destroying the family—which is basically what welfare did to the black family. In other words create chaos in the country by any means necessary. Even using violence like in Greece.

Two, encourage the citizens to be dependent on gov’t programs like a drug addict. Discourage self-sufficiency and entrepreneurship. Discourage independence. Try to persuade people that the gov’t is a benevolent parent. This is done through public education.

The far-Left hopes there will be enough people in panic mode wanting a savior to help them. That’s where the far-Left says look toward the gov’t. It can save you they will say.  Then martial law will be invoked. Maybe not all at once but slowly.

Anyone that keeps his cool and says don’t trust the gov’t  will be treated as an enemy of the state.  Also, there will be scapegoats like big business or any big business that is not a friend of the state. The government will say big business caused this crises even if they didn’t.  Any conservative that wants to cut the budget like Social Security,  Medicare or any progressive gov’t program will be scapegoated.  The far-Left will say the Right wants to do harm to the elderly, etc. Then again the far-Left always does this. The State can never have anyone know they are the cause of the crises. Then you have a situation like in the French Revolution.

Don’t think this scenario can come true? It happen during the 1930’s in Germany and in Russia when the Soviet Union ruled.

One final note: George Soros said: “So, an orderly decline of the dollar is actually desirable [my italics].” Refer back to the First Step.

Also President Obama said before he got elected: “We are five days away from fundamentally changing the United States of America.” If that doesn’t give you chills I don’t know what will.

Miscellaneous Thoughts Part 18

• The socialist's/Marxist's motto: One nation under Government with equal misery for all. Or at least that's their unofficial motto.
• Ayn Rand said that the individual is the smallest minority. In mathematics there is a parallel. Single numbers are random by themselves because they cannot be compressed down to an equation. For example, 1, 5, 9, 12 is not a random sequence because it can be compressed to x = x + 4.
• If George Soros wants to spread the wealth around why doesn't he start with himself. He can give 1/3 of his wealth to the citizens of America.
• There should be a DVD called: "The Communists: A Warning from History" too.
• Next on The SyFy Channel: Killer Bees versus Fire Ants. Just joking. No such movie. Beside the bees would probably win anyway.
• The Left saying that the economy could be worse is like telling a car accident victim who has a broken rib and two broken legs it could be worse. He could have been run over by a steamroller. It doesn't make the victim feel any better.
• If the Left think big gov't is wonderful I wonder if they would use a public defender instead of a private one if they ever have to go to trial. Because even lawyers need incentive to do a decent job.
• If every country were free like America then you wouldn't need the UN. Or put it another way if every country had a constitution like America's then the UN would be obsolete.
• Randomness may just be complexity misinterpreted.
• Insane thought: Accordions in marching bands. Why not? They already have tubas. You could the marching band play polka songs then.

Laissez-Faire Evolution?

Instead of tinkering with evolution like the Intelligent Designers believe, I believe God instead built inside organisms a “program” that evolves organisms to higher complexity. This way evolution is directed, creative and takes a lot less energy. He doesn’t always have to be modifying the genes all the time.

In other words evolution would be like the free-market system. Free to evolve without much intervention.

Actually the idea about evolution going from lower to higher complexity is not new.  French Jesuit Pierre Teilhard de Chardin proposed that the universe evolves to a point called the Omega Point.  Of course, that’s just a theory like my idea of evolution. Knowing the mind of God is always a tricky business.

A Personal Congressional Pledge

The following is what I think a pledge from congressional candidate should give to voters. Some of these promises could even be given from a presidential candidate. None of the promises I think are partisan. Any party can state these promises. They are not unreasonable. Here are the promises:

While in office:

I will only raise my salary if the budget is balanced.

I will read the entire bill I vote on. If not given enough reasonable time to read the bill then I will vote against it.

If I don’t understand any bill or any repercussions of any bill I read then I will vote against it.

I will thoroughly research any bill I write or co-sponsor.

I will not add any riders on any bill.

I will not take any money, trips or any other gifts from any organization.

I will not pit one group of Americans against another.

I will show up for every vote on any bill. I will not vote abstain.

I will not lie to or mislead the American people about the contents any bill I write or sponsor.

I will not vote for, sponsor, or co-sponsor any bill that violates the Constitution.

I will not call my political opponents “enemies.”

I believe this is a good start for promises. Some of them might be tough to do. Then again it is always the politicians that say the American people have to sacrifice.

Democrats pressing Obama not to run again

Some senior personalities in the Democratic Party have discussed with President Obama's advisers the possibility of him not running for re-election in 2012, according to an influential Democratic Party operative speaking on condition of anonymity.

The operative, who is close to the Democratic leadership, did not indicate whether Obama was undecided about running again. [read more]

I wonder who is going to run for president in his place? Hillary possibly? Dick Morris has speculated that if the Dems lose both houses by record margins, and Obama’s approval falls below 40% that the party leadership will look for another presidential contender ie Hillary.

Ratings might not be the real reason Obama might not run again. He might not like being president—he likes the power and prestige but that’s all. Also, Michelle Obama might not want him to run again either. That’s the rumor anyway.

Either way it would have to be a personal reason. After all it was Harry Reid’s idea for him to run in the first place.
