Republicans target political bias in Google spam filter

A top Republican lawmaker has introduced legislation that would ban Google and other email platforms from filtering campaign emails into spam folders, in the latest bid by Congress to crack down on what critics see as Big Tech’s political bias.

Sen. John Thune of South Dakota, the second-ranking Republican in the Senate, said the measure would prohibit email platforms from using filtering algorithms on campaign email if the candidate is running for federal office.

“Gmail and other email services’ inboxing practices are a black box to consumers, and they operate with little accountability,” said Mr. Thune, the Republican whip. “This legislation would help ensure that Americans, not Big Tech, are making the decisions on what campaign communications they want to receive.”

Mr. Thune, the ranking Republican on the Senate Commerce Committee’s subcommittee on communications, technology and internet issues, drafted the bill after a recent North Carolina State University study found Google, the nation’s largest email platform, flagged more Republican campaign emails as spam than Democratic emails during the 2020 election season.

The same study, released in March, found Outlook and Yahoo filtered more Democratic emails into spam folders.

“We observed that the spam-filtering algorithms of different email services indeed exhibit biases towards different political affiliations,” the study authors wrote. [read more]

If Google is doing this (they deny it), they shouldn’t be filtering out political email. But I am not sure a bill is required or not. Use another email service.

22 Democrats who voted against extra security for SCOTUS justices approved it for themselves after Jan 6

Ahead of the highly anticipated decision that could overturn Roe v Wade, the House passed a bill on Tuesday to will increase security for Supreme Court justices’ families. However, 27 Democrats voting against the bill, less than a week after a man was arrested for allegedly planning to assassinate Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

According to Fox News, the bill, which is now headed to President Joe Biden’s desk, will provide 24-hour protection for the families of Supreme Court justices, in a similar manner to some members of the executive and legislative branches.

The House voted 396-27, to approve the measure that had already been passed by unanimously in the Senate in May just days after the leak of the draft Supreme Court decision which could overturn Roe v. Wade.

22 of those members voted in favor of extra security for themselves after the riot at the Capitol on January 6.

The Democrats who opposed the bill argued that it also needed to include protection for court staff, including clerks, and their families. Many of the members of Congress who voted "no" are well known for their own security. According to Fox News, Rep. Cori Bush spent more than $300,000 on private security even as she continues calls to defund the police.

Rep. Maxine Waters has previously called for violence against elected officials. In June of 2018, Waters instructed a crowd to harass Trump administration officials saying, “Let’s make sure we show up wherever we have to show up. And if you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them. And you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere. We’ve got to get the children connected to their parents.”

She also called for protests and violence in anticipation of the Derek Chauvin verdict.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, said regarding her vote to block the bill in an Instagram video on Saturday, "I wake up this morning and I start to hear murmurs that there is going to be an attempt to pass the Supreme Court supplemental protection bill the day after gun safety legislation for schools and kids and people is stalled."

She added, "Oh, so we can pass protections for us and here easily, right? But we can't pass protections for everyday people? I think not." [source]

Not surprising. Those who voted against extra security for SCOTUS justices and voted themselves extra security think they are more important than the justices. Also, the justices that are being harassed tend to lean right. So, add that to their decision.

I received my subpoena via tweet 2 days before my wedding, had to beg the committee to let me go on my honeymoon, and spent the entire day afraid of marshals showing up to serve people,” Small told The Post Millennial.

“And now Liz Cheney sends me a solicitation to give her money while her committee still has the ability to refer witnesses, like me, for criminal prosecution. The goal of this committee is to scare conservatives from working in politics. It won’t work on me,” she added.

Cheney, alongside Adam Kinzinger, were the only two Republican representatives to vote in favor of the select committee’s creation, which resulted in both of them being selected to serve on the committee.

Biden push for $2.5B tax break for lawyers spurs accusations of political payoff

Democrats have tucked a lucrative $2.5 billion tax break inside President Biden’s multitrillion-dollar social welfare bill that would benefit the trial lawyers lobby, spurring Republican accusations of political backscratching.

The tax break allows trial lawyers working on a contingency basis, meaning they are paid only if a case is settled in their favor, to deduct expenses immediately. Such expenses include hourly labor fees and the expenses associated with waging a lawsuit, such as filing and deposition costs.

On average, according to the American Bar Association, the fixed rate for contingency cases is anywhere between 33% and 40% of the total settlement payout. In some instances, the contingency fee can range upward of 50%.

Given that legal costs have soared in recent years, the Joint Committee on Taxation estimates the write-off would cost taxpayers $2.5 billion over the next decade.

Republican lawmakers argue the lucrative write-off is nothing more than a giveaway to the trial lawyers lobby, which heavily underwrote Mr. Biden’s presidential bid.

Donors from the legal sector gave more than $274 million to Democrats in 2020, according to the Center for Responsive Politics.

“Trial lawyers donated tens of millions to Joe Biden’s campaign,” said Sen. Tom Cotton, Arkansas Republican. “And now, Biden’s reckless spending plan includes a $2.5 billion tax break for trial lawyers, what a coincidence.” [read more]

The Christian Paradox

It's been said that the most important event in human history was the birth of Christ. When you examine this claim with an open mind, there can be no denying it, as there is clearly no event that has reverberated throughout the world that affected so many for so long by altering the course of history forever.

In a book written by cultural historian Christopher Dawson, Christianity and the New Age, he examines how Christ and Christianity constitute the foundation of the modern era, that without Christianity there never would have been a Western civilization in the first place that led to life as we know it today in the western world: democratic, technological, scientific, and progressive (in the sense that everything is continuously being improved upon not just in material ways but also spiritually towards a predestined and perfect end of time).

Dawson also identifies a paradox of how Christianity in many ways led to its own downfall from medieval Christendom to the secular societies of today where atheism and agnosticism dominate public life where religious practice was once an around-the-clock everyday obligation. The Amish community that exists today is a good example of what life looked like before the modern era when everything revolved around the Bible and where being a better person or building a better life is intrinsic to faith, not something to be gained through the material world.

As the modern world evolved, Christianity and spirituality slowly receded and became secondary to the triumph of materialism and secularism throughout the western world as a result of the scientific and industrial revolutions. In another book by Brad Gregory, The Unintended Reformation: How a Religious Revolution Secularized Society, the beginning of the end of Christianity as first and foremost in everyone's life was the fracturing of a unified Christian world that was led by Catholic Rome and its popes when Martin Luther unknowingly helped pave the way to making religion secondary in people's lives. It was the Reformation that led to Christianity becoming just an optional lifestyle choice when the Church split with itself, then split again and again into multiple denominations, until it became so watered down and so many "flavors" to choose from no one bothered with it anymore. Everyone became more interested in pursuing the good things in this life and this world rather than the next life and the afterworld. From Christianity and the New Age:

"The western mind has turned away from the contemplation of the absolute and the eternal to the knowledge of the particular and the contingent. It has made man the measure of all things and has sought to emancipate life from its dependence on the supernatural. By the nineteenth century the forces of secularism and anti-clericalism were everywhere triumphant, and the new democracies seemed bent on the creation of a purely lay culture, which would eliminate the last traces of religious influence from the national life."

Dawson goes on to describe how the rational organization of modern life rooted in rationalism and materialism eventually became hostile to the spiritual values of Christianity that laid the foundations for modern society in the first place. Hence the paradox of the Judeo-Christian tradition became a victim of its own success as the centerpiece of daily life because of the long and winding road of historical evolution slowly but surely eroding it from everyday life. Beginning with the Renaissance to the Reformation through the Enlightenment all the way to the present when foundational Christian values have become almost entirely attenuated.  The sovereignty that was once the transcendent God to whom even kings and queens deferred as the ultimate authority slowly gave way to the sovereignty of the individual that is the norm today. At one point in Western history, people at all stations of society could access the sacred, which permeated all aspects of life, giving both purpose and meaning. During this premodern age, existence was charged with significance. At some point, the gates to this Eden were sutured shut. The condition of modernity is defined by the irrevocable loss of easy access to transcendence.

Lastly, Dawson describes throughout his book that what has been lost in the modern era that's at the root of so much discontent and division is this loss of the spiritual idea that Christ and his appearance on earth were to unify the temporal with the eternal and the material with the spiritual:

Christianity united a strong sense of transcendent character of Ultimate Reality with the belief that God had become man. This conception of the Incarnation as the bridge between God and Man, the marriage of Heaven and Earth, the channel through which the material world is spiritualized and brought back to unity.

In the end, the loss of Christian spirituality as a result of it being divorced from and given a back seat to the materialism of the modern era has been the disregard of the values that were first exemplified by the life and death of Christ: sacrifice, charity, and obligation. This has led directly to the plague of our time: self-love, greed, and hedonism. It's time to get back to basics to confront current problems. It's really not that hard to figure out the solutions. It's just that all of our leaders think that they are material in nature when they're really spiritual embodied by the birth, life, crucifixion, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. [source]

Ill-fated DHS disinformation board pursued partnership with social media platforms to censor content

The Department of Homeland Security‘s ill-fated disinformation board would have been part of an effort to work with private social media platforms to police their content, two senators revealed Wednesday, citing new documents provided to them by a whistleblower.

The documents described the issues that led DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to want to create the board. Among them were such heated topics as debates over the coronavirus pandemic and efficacy of vaccines, and what Homeland Security described as “conspiracy theories about the validity and security of elections.”

The documents also suggested the board would play the role of policy cop at Homeland Security, with input on disinformation budgets and a role in how the department engages with “private sector stakeholders.”

“DHS should not in any way seek to enlist the private sector to curb or silence opposing viewpoints,” said Republican Sens. Charles E. Grassley of Iowa and Josh Hawley of Missouri, who released the documents with a letter demanding more answers from Mr. Mayorkas.

The documents they released included a 2021 memo for Mr. Mayorkas suggesting the creation of the disinformation board, a January 2022 memo with a charter establishing the board, and a schedule from April describing one of the board leader’s meetings with Twitter executives. [read more]

Internal Capitol Police Report Reveals Security Failures on Pelosi’s Watch

An internal Capitol Police report on the January 6 incident revealed extensive security failures on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) watch.

Dated June 4, the report shows sweeping mistakes from the department that include delayed mobilization of specialized civil disturbance units and the dismantling of an intelligence unit that tracked threats on social media, according to the report obtained by Just the News.

The report specifically reveals the Capitol Police had received intelligence reports from agencies like the FBI warning that violence could occur on January 6. But those intelligence reports were not properly embodied into an operational plan before January 6.

“The assessment for 1/6 contained a BLUF [bottom line up front] that did not express the severity of the threat or the fact that USCP [U.S. Capitol Police] actually had knowledge of a plan in place,” the report reads. “The statement that protesters may be armed was included, but it was never expressed with the urgency that they planned to overtake the Capitol and target Members of Congress.”

The intelligence failure was made worse by Pelosi’s decision to disassemble the police department’s intelligence unit that tracked threats on social media. The chatter on social media before January 6 might have alerted the police to the potential seriousness of the protest.

“The social media unit was immediately and essentially dismantled under the new leadership,” the report said. “New office reassignments and steering away from the concepts of having subject matter experts may have contributed to the tragedy.”

“Individuals with the most experience extrapolating open-source material were not tasked with reviewing social media to glean intel related to the event,” the report stated.

As Pelosi failed at her task of protecting the Capitol, Trump had taken action to secure the area. Former Acting Defense Secretary Christopher Miller testified before Congress in 2021 that Donald Trump authorized National Guard Troops to secure the area around the Capitol. Just the News reported Trump wanted 20,000 troops, but Congress rejected the request.

“Do whatever is necessary to protect demonstrators that were executing their constitutionally protected rights,” Miller testified Trump told him.

The report comes as the January 6 Committee will begin to conduct public hearings Thursday night. The made-for-television event will last about 90 minutes and include testimony from a filmmaker who was following the Proud Boys on January 6.

An August poll revealed 58 percent of voters believe the January 6 Committee is biased toward Democrats. Only 45 percent of Americans find Trump responsible for the protest, a decline of 7 points since January 2021, according to an NBC News poll. [source]

Pelosi wanted security failures. She and the mayor of Washington DC declined Trump’s request to send out the national guard to back up the Capitol police.

Armed man arrested outside Kavanaugh's house wanted to kill him over draft Roe v. Wade reversal

A California man armed with a Glock pistol and other weapons was arrested near Brett Kavanaugh's Chevy Chase, Maryland, home, telling officers after he was arrested that he wanted to kill the Supreme Court justice.

The man, Nicholas John Roske, was arrested in the early hours of Wednesday morning. FBI special agent Ian Montijo wrote an affidavit detailing Roske's confessed intention to murder Kavanaugh and then commit suicide.

The FBI agent said his affidavit was submitted "in support of a criminal complaint charging Nicholas John Roske with attempt to murder a United States Supreme Court Justice.”

The court filing said Roske was dropped off outside of Kavanaugh's home at 1:05 a.m. carrying a backpack and suitcase, saw two U.S. deputy marshals standing guard, turned and walked down the street, and then called a Montgomery County police hotline to say he had suicidal thoughts. He was quickly arrested by police and taken to a police district, where he was read his rights and agreed to talk to agents.

"Roske then told the detective that he was upset about the leak of a recent Supreme Court draft decision regarding the right to abortion as well as the recent school shooting in Uvalde, Texas," the FBI said. "Roske indicated that the Justice that he intended to kill would side with Second Amendment decisions that would loosen gun control laws."

The FBI agent added: "Roske stated that he began thinking about how to give his life a purpose and decided that he would kill the Supreme Court Justice after finding the Justice's Montgomery County address on the Internet. Roske further indicated that he had purchased the Glock pistol and the other items for the purpose of breaking into the Justice’s residence and killing the Justice as well as himself.”

The FBI said it searched Roske's backpack and suitcase and found a black tactical chest rig and tactical knife, a Glock 17 pistol with two magazines and ammunition, pepper spray, zip ties, a hammer, screwdriver, nail punch, crow bar, pistol light, duct tape, hiking boots with padding on the outside of the soles, and other items.

The U.S. attorney's office in Maryland announced that Roske had been hit with federal charges of "attempted murder of a Supreme Court Justice." He faces a maximum of 20 years in prison if convicted. [read more]

Instead of the Biden regime worried about white supremists making domestic terrorists attacks maybe the regime should be concerned about their own side doing violent attacks. You know, Antifa, BLM, Jane's Revenge and other crack-pot far Left groups. Not saying this guy is part of those groups, I am just saying that violence seems to come more from the left-side rather than the right-side. Then again the Biden regime agrees with the tactics of the far-Left, so they won’t go after them.

Also, the perp was older than 21 so the making the legal age to own a gun wouldn’t have worked in this case. If you can enlist in the arm forces at 18 then I would think you can own a firearm.

Following the announcement today dirtbag House Democrat Jerry Nadler called for a federal review of the verdict by Biden’s Department of Justice.

Joe Biden is on record calling Kyle Rittenhouse a white supremacist. Maybe Joe should sit this one out.

Democrats are just trying to intentionally divide the nation as they always do.

Following the acquittal of Kyle Rittenhouse, who plead self-defense in the fatal shooting of two men and wounding of a third during a night of protests in Kenosha, Wisconsin, in August 2020, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., called for a federal review of the verdict by the U.S. Department of Justice.

“This heartbreaking verdict is a miscarriage of justice and sets a dangerous precedent which justifies federal review by DOJ. Justice cannot tolerate armed persons crossing state lines looking for trouble while people engage in First Amendment-protected protest,” Nadler wrote in a tweet posted Friday afternoon.

In order for Rittenhouse to face federal charges, there are several complicated factors that could make it unlikely for federal prosecutors to pursue a case.

For most homicide cases, federal law typically only applies in crimes that specifically violate federal law. According to Shouse Law Group, a criminal justice team in Los Angeles, the crime of murder “is prosecuted in state courts as a state crime. But murder becomes a federal crime when it occurs in violation of federal law, or when it takes place on a federal land or territory.”

Shouse Law Group writes, “The federal crime of murder is defined as the ‘unlawful killing of a human being with malice aforethought.’

For too long, progressive Democrats have been using Orwellian tactics to challenge traditional American values, to change the political narrative, to alter the culture of our nation, and indeed, to corrupt the meanings of words.  By way of an analogy to Orwell, consider some of the ways in which progressives twist reality:

• Necessities are a right
• Liberty is license
• Freedom is dependency
• Diversity is strength

When words lose their proper meaning, discourse becomes impossible, and it therefore becomes incumbent upon conservatives, adults, to regain control of the language.  Liberty is not license, and freedom does not follow from dependency.

Let us acknowledge that certain things are basic human necessities, such as shelter, food, clothing, and medical care.  Does this mean that these things are basic human rights?  Absolutely not; it means they are basic human responsibilities.  A warm home is neither a right nor a privilege; it is a personal responsibility.  Clothing is neither a right nor a privilege; clothing is a personal responsibility.

Is your tummy growling?  Get a job and buy some food.  Food and medical care are not rights; they are not privileges; they are personal responsibilities.

Liberty-loving citizens need to reclaim the narrative, do away with the notion of privilege, and reframe the argument around right and responsibility.

Individual liberty does not mean that one has license to engage in any behavior one chooses.  We have public obscenity laws because one can express oneself without cursing.  We have indecency laws because there are few who wish to see that cellulite and those jelly rolls, and we certainly don't need more distracted drivers.  Societies adopt laws that reflect their morals and historically gained wisdom.

Western civilization is the result of the synthesis of Judeo-Christian morality and Greek philosophy and reason, and this is reflected not only in this nation's founding documents, but in the genius of those who blazed the intellectual trail to the United States Constitution: Socrates, Plato, Augustine, Calvin, Hobbes, and Locke.  Tradition, culture, and the morality they bear should not lightly be discarded.  Patriotic citizens need to properly discern between liberty and license and reclaim the narrative.

Upon passage of the (un)Affordable Care Act, or Obamacare, Nancy Pelosi launched into a speech about how artists, and others with no marketable skills, would be free to pursue their passions because they wouldn't have to worry about their health care expenses.  They would still be artists with no marketable skills, but by gum, they'd have health care.

Now the progressive left wants to provide everything from free daycare to free college to free adult diapers.  Dependency is not freedom; the true path to freedom is motivation.  Let's reclaim the narrative.

Divide, division, diversity...hmm.  Multiculturalism and diversity are not, by definition, unifying principles: if they were, our coins would say "E Pluribus Plus" rather than "E Pluribus Unum."  The idea of the melting pot and a united nation is lost if one comes to this nation but refuses to become a member of our society and instead chooses to bring the wreckage of his homeland to our shores.  The infamous Ilhan Omar once stated that we need to dismantle this system.  Excuse me, Rep. Omar, but you abused this nation's immigration laws to get here, got elected to the House of Representatives, engaged in behavior that would have gotten you stoned to death behind the mosque in your homeland, and you want to dismantle my nation?  As I recall, Somalia has been dismantled for several decades, if it ever even was in one piece.

It is well nigh past time for patriots, those who cherish traditional values, those who cling to their God, their guns, and their Bibles, to stand up.  When someone states that a man can get pregnant, say no.  When someone states a boy can be a girl, say no.  When someone states our diversity is our strength, say no.  When someone states social dependency means freedom, say no.  When someone states you are privileged for making responsible decisions, say no.  Let's reclaim the narrative. Stanton's "Ten Stages of Genocide" as a helpful reminder for keeping track of how things are "progressing" (pun intended).  Stanton, an academic and the founder of Genocide Watch, organized a sobering list of red-flag actions undertaken by governments over the last century on their way to committing mass murder.  See if any of them rings any bells with how supposedly "free" governments are behaving today.

(1) Classification: Governments begin dividing people into "us" versus "them."

Hillary Clinton calls Trump voters "deplorables."  Barack Obama disparages freedom-minded Americans as racists and rubes who "cling to guns or religion."  Joe Biden says America is plagued by "white supremacy."  Joint Chiefs chairman Mark Milley believes that the military must tackle "white rage."

(2) Symbolization: Governments start forcing "unclean" people to wear symbolic articles of clothing, so they clearly stand out from everyone else.

Coercing people to submit to experimental injections with unknown health risks is prohibited by longstanding international treaties designed to prevent crimes against humanity.  That certainly hasn't stopped most Western governments from throwing ethics and law out the window in order to rush out a medical treatment before anybody could possibly know the long-term consequences.  What about those companies and government administrators who aren't quite ready to admit they've gone full Josef Mengele in the name of "science"?  They have an easy solution: those who refuse to "vaccinate" must wear face masks until they do, even though numerous studies have proved that ordinary cloth masks do next to nothing to prevent the spread of disease and even though numerous studies have proved that the "vaccinated" still carry a viral load equal to or greater than those who have refused experimental treatment.

(3) Discrimination: Governments use laws and cultural power to deny civil rights to certain people. 

Would you like to keep your job?  Take the jab!  Would you like to enjoy indoor dining, sporting events, or church service?  Take the jab!  What's that, you say?  You have many detailed medical objections against being forced into injecting yourself and your loved ones with an experimental "vaccine" when the risk of death from the China Virus for reasonably healthy people — especially young people — is exceedingly low?  Sorry, that's "misinformation" that the State will not tolerate, and Facebook, Twitter, and Google must revoke your free speech "privileges" until you come to your senses.  We hope this re-education has been helpful! 

(4) Dehumanization: Governments subtly deny the humanity of discriminated groups by comparing them to animals, vermin, insects, or diseases.

Strangely, even after the most extensive global "vaccination" campaign in human history, "breakthrough cases" are still popping up (and often in the most "vaccinated" parts of the world).  Joe Biden and CDC director Walensky know whom to scapegoat for this predicament: blame the "unvaccinated" for the "vaccinated" contracting the disease.  Logic doesn't matter when the medical mafiosi's real motive is to pile government failure onto the backs of the innocent.

(5) Organization: The state bureaucracy begins actively designing killing plans for undesirables.

Just because Democrats are always promising to drag out the guillotines to execute MAGA "deplorables," that doesn't mean the U.S. government is making plans to help.  On the other hand, now that the IRS, DOJ, and Intelligence Community are all active arms of the Democrat Party, they're not exactly not helping, are they?  Just ask teenager Kyle Rittenhouse. The other stages are:

1. Polarization: Propaganda is utilized to amplify the differences between "us" versus "them," and interactions between groups are limited.
2. Preparation: The victims of future mass killing are identified, separated, and forced to wear distinguishing symbols.
3. Persecution: Governments begin forcing members of victim groups into special camps.
4. Extermination: The massacre begins, and government actors justify their mass murder as a necessary "extermination" of non-humans who deserve to be killed.
5. Denial: The brainwashed perpetrators of genocide deny having committed any crimes — blaming their victims for their own murders.

Cyber agency: Voting software vulnerable in some states

ATLANTA (AP) — Electronic voting machines from a leading vendor used in at least 16 states have software vulnerabilities that leave them susceptible to hacking if unaddressed, the nation’s leading cybersecurity agency says in an advisory sent to state election officials.

The U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Agency, or CISA, said there is no evidence the flaws in the Dominion Voting Systems’ equipment have been exploited to alter election results. The advisory is based on testing by a prominent computer scientist and expert witness in a long-running lawsuit that is unrelated to false allegations of a stolen election pushed by former President Donald Trump after his 2020 election loss.

The advisory, obtained by The Associated Press in advance of its expected Friday release, details nine vulnerabilities and suggests protective measures to prevent or detect their exploitation. Amid a swirl of misinformation and disinformation about elections, CISA seems to be trying to walk a line between not alarming the public and stressing the need for election officials to take action.

CISA Executive Director Brandon Wales said in a statement that “states’ standard election security procedures would detect exploitation of these vulnerabilities and in many cases would prevent attempts entirely.” Yet the advisory seems to suggest states aren’t doing enough. It urges prompt mitigation measures, including both continued and enhanced “defensive measures to reduce the risk of exploitation of these vulnerabilities.” Those measures need to be applied ahead of every election, the advisory says, and it’s clear that’s not happening in all of the states that use the machines. Here's Why Six People Said Nothing When the Buffalo Mass Shooter Told Them Of His Mass Murder Plan

There are many commonalities with regard to mass shootings in America. The shooter was known to authorities for past antics. The shooter exhibited signs of mental illness. And the authorities either dropped the ball keeping tabs on the suspected person or didn’t enforce the laws that would have prevented them from obtaining firearms.

The preventability aspect has become known with the recent Buffalo mass shooting where avowed white supremacist Payton Gendron shot and killed 10 people at Tops Friendly Market in Buffalo. Gendron picked the location due to its high proportion of black residents. The kid threatened to shoot up his school last year. He was brought in for a mental health evaluation but was cleared.

Now, a new development in the investigation shows that Gendron told six people about his plan to commit a mass shooting some thirty minutes before the crime. One of the people in the group is a retired federal agent. NO ONE said anything. This could be the reason why (via Buffalo News):

Law enforcement officers are investigating whether a retired federal agent had about 30 minutes advance notice of a white supremacist's plans to murder Black people at a Buffalo supermarket, two law enforcement officials told The Buffalo News.

Authorities believe the former agent – believed to be from Texas – was one of at least six individuals who regularly communicated with accused gunman Payton Gendron in an online chat room where racist hatred was discussed, the two officials said.

The two law enforcement sources with direct knowledge of the investigation stated these individuals were invited by Gendron to read about his mass shooting plans and the target location about 30 minutes before Gendron killed 10 people at Tops Markets on Jefferson Avenue on May 14. [read more]

Joe Biden Teases Plan to Grab More Than Just AR-15s

In comments to reporters before heading to Arlington Cemetery for Memorial Day commemorations, Joe Biden’s focus was instead on ammunition – 9 mm ammo, in particular. His people should stop him because anytime he makes such comments, he always says things that are just not true.

“The .22 caliber bullet will lodge in the lungs and we can get it out,” Biden claimed a doctor told him. “A 9 mm bullet blows the lung out of the body. The idea of a high caliber weapon, there is no rationale for it in terms of self-protection, hunting.”

Biden continued with a common lie that he tells to push restrictions on the Second Amendment:

“The Constitution, the Second Amendment was never absolute. You couldn’t buy a cannon when the Second Amendment was passed,” Biden said. “I think things have gotten so bad that everybody is getting more rational about it.”

Joe Biden has no idea what he’s talking about when it comes to guns. He’s going after 9 mm ammo because he thinks it can “blow the lung out of the body”? That’s unrelated to reality. It’s one of the most popular bullets in the world, used in numerous guns. It shows that he’s not just thinking about AR-15s, but he’s thinking about handguns as well.

Biden says that you don’t need it for self-protection. Then tell me, Joe, what does the Secret Service carry when they are protecting you? I’m willing to bet if you checked you find some carrying 9 mm pistols. Reports in 2019 indicated that the Secret Service was switching to things like the 9 mm Glock 19. So you’re entitled to it for your protection but you want to deny it to anyone else? If it’s so wrong (it isn’t) and isn’t necessary, then why is your Secret Service using it to protect you? The story of the past 100-plus years is the story of the rout of American conservatism — and the near complete and total takeover of the country and its Commanding Heights by a cadre of highly intelligent, determined, and ruthless individuals.

How did the century begin? The left started from a humble base: a few people here and there, but certainly not dominating the levers of society. They were scattered about entertainment and Congress, and only truly formidable in the union halls and universities.

One hundred years later, it’s all over. The old “rebels” now control Hollywood and Silicon Valley and sports and television and the American Medical Association and both houses of Congress and Wall Street and the White House and the Boy Scouts and your child’s elementary and the bathrooms therein. Oh, and they still have the big unions and nearly all the universities too.

So how did they do it? How did all their rage against the machine become the machine? How did they win the Second American Revolution? It’s worth understanding how they won the second if we’ll have any hope to win the third.

The first thing we need to do when figuring out the conservative revolution is to understand this: We may have been good at it once — when men like John Adams, James Madison, and John Jay strode the earth — but no longer.

Today, the left is better at revolutionary ideas, in part because they’re willing to be revolutionary in their thinking and in their governing. Notice: They don’t tinker around the edges quite the same way we do. Read a left-wing publication like Vox or Mother Jones or The Washington Post, and they’re bursting with a whole list of things they want done to ensure the left gets what it wants in the years to come.

To them, there’s no barrier too difficult to remove, no norm too sacred to violate. If the U.S. Senate stands in the way, just abolish the filibuster. Electoral College causing you heartburn? Come up with a clever go-around to negate it!

Conservatives actually believe in the Constitution and tradition so we aren’t willing to go these distances to get what we want. That’s fine — it’s what sets us apart from the lesser beasts. But conservatives also have to escape from their self-imposed paralysis.

Seriously: How many times have you heard “it’s the law of the land” delivered as some unassailable reason that thousands of years of Western tradition rooted in God’s laws ought simply to be abandoned? [read more]

There is time here only for a peek at the big picture. And, by the way, seeking information and commentary on America’s take-down should not be regarded as an idle pursuit of conspiracy theories − a buzzword used to deflect attention from official wrongdoing.

In few words . . .

Marxists worked hard for over a century to “correct” American society, deemed in their arrogance and clouded mentality “incorrect.” Their trajectory for a remake of America would replace the wisdom of the Creator with acceptable “science,” make morality irrelevant, and devalue every citizen in the name of justice − theirs. Who would be in charge of all this was left unspecified and undefined, but their actions pointed to tyranny at the highest level of authority.

Noncompliant people would be disposed of, one way or another. In Russia, Marxists preferred prison, gulags, and murder for the “dissidents.” In America they chose “education” – that is, brainwashing and indoctrination − and demonizing the opponents. Whether “hard” or “soft,” the mindless and heartless means would be justified by the desired end: establishing a collective world order, aka New World Order, aka Great Reset.

American Marxists steeled themselves during the major launch of Communism in Russia in 1917 and its subsequent infiltration throughout the world after World Wars I and II. They dedicated themselves to brainwashing the young in public schools, beginning early in the 20th century, and brainwashing adults through media and church into accepting a world devoid of Judeo-Christian content, spirit, and guidance, all of which stood in the way of their campaign.

Infiltrating the schools has been well documented (comprehensively here). Infiltrating the mainline churches accelerated during the 1970s when faux-Christian change agents busied themselves making congregations believe that you could be a Marxist and a Christian at the same time. It was never put this bluntly of course. I witnessed the process as a church organist in those years. Never mind that if a Marxist were to be asked what he thought of Christianity he would very likely lie about it or gloss over the fact that Joseph Stalin, Marxist-in-Chief of Soviet Russia, was suppressing Christians, as in today’s Communist China, and murdering over a million people.

I knew a young Christian pastor in Maine who was thrilled with the prospects of so-called Liberation Theology, the bogus union of Marxism and Christianity designed to hoodwink real Christians into accepting a non-existing compatibility between Marxist ideology and Christian theology. She evidently never actually compared the Christian Gospel with The Communist Manifesto and mindlessly bought into the Big Lie that Marxism and Christianity are in harmony with one another. And so, another benighted Christian minister had unwittingly joined the cause of Marxist infiltration instead of preaching the Gospel. [read more]

Build Back Better’s big breaks for illegal immigrants, drug dealers would hurt public housing

Take the disturbing details of the dirty housing secrets buried in the bill: more money for failed public-housing programs and, worse, big breaks for illegal immigrants and drug dealers that could make low-income neighborhoods even less safe.

Build Back Better includes a whopping $7.1 billion in new Section 8 housing vouchers, on top of $5 billion in subsidies Democrats already appropriated in March — and markedly loosens requirements.

Noncitizens would no longer have to provide proof they’re in the country legally to qualify. So illegal immigrants could get in line for one of the 100,000-plus vouchers the New York City Housing Authority distributes. We need immigrants, but we don’t need another welcome mat that exacerbates the unregulated-migrant mess the president created almost as soon as he entered office.

What’s more, the Biden boondoggle would waive the restriction on granting assistance to those who’ve been evicted for drug crimes. Ex-offenders should, to be sure, get a second chance at employment. But we should not risk subsidizing their return to housing projects where they did business and undermined public safety — especially with New York City Housing Authority crime rates already sky high.

The bill would also give local authorities the discretion to relax requirements that prohibit subsidies to those who sell and use drugs or otherwise harm the “health and safety” of fellow tenants. Activists will certainly pressure NYCHA to do just that and waive its “permanent exclusion” rules. Keep in mind that though public-housing tenants make up about 4 percent of the city’s population, already 20 percent of violent crime takes place inside or near public housing.

It doesn’t stop there. Spurred by Sen. Chuck Schumer, the spendapalooza includes $65 billion for public-housing authorities, an unprecedented amount of new spending. That’s enough simply to pay all 915,000 of the nation’s public-housing tenants $71,000 — giving them the means to move out and start over elsewhere. Indeed, that’s well worth considering: Giving NYCHA’s 172,000 lease holders the choice might well lead many to take the money and run, making it possible to sell some of NYCHA’s valuable but crumbling real estate to provide rehab funds for other projects. RINOs Led by Mitch McConnell Consider Joining Democrats to Tighten Gun Laws Following Uvalde, Texas Mass Shooting

On Friday GOP Leader Mitch McConnell announced that RINO Republicans will concede to Democrat demands to tighten gun control legislation. This comes days after the Uvalde, Texas school massacre.

McConnell told CNN Republicans will meet with “moderates” like Senator Chris Murphy to work out new legislation that will do nothing to prevent dangerous psychopaths from killing children in schools.

Murphy is famous for pushing legislation to REMOVE ALL POLICE from schools — a deadly proposal that would have cost more lives.

Once again, McConnell does not represent his voting base and he doesn’t care.

Some Republicans are considering conceding to Democrats’ demands to tighten federal gun laws in the wake of a school shooting in Uvalde, Texas, that left at least 19 dead.

Democrats have long pushed for stricter gun control at a federal level but Republicans, citing Second Amendment rights, have long pushed back against these efforts. Now, some Republicans seem to be open to softening this stance.

Most prominently, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said during an interview with CNN that he had instructed Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) to negotiate with some centrist Democrats, including Sens. Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.) and Chris Murphy (D-Conn.), to try to hammer out a compromise bill.

“I’ve encouraged him to talk to Senator Sinema, Senator Murphy, and others who are interested in

trying to get an outcome that’s directly related to the problem,” McConnell said, adding that he is “hopeful that we could come up with a bipartisan solution that’s directly related to the facts of this awful massacre.”

McConnell was anxious to emphasize that he was not pushing for legislation that would advance a partisan Democrat agenda, but only to find a legislative solution directly related to the circumstances of the Uvalde shooting.

“What I’ve asked Senator Cornyn to do is to meet with the Democrats who are interested in getting a bipartisan solution* and come up with a proposal, if possible, that’s crafted to meet this particular problem,” he said.

McConnell’s lukewarm support for a compromise package could be a welcome sign for Democrats, who will need the support of at least 10 Republicans to overcome the Senate’s 60-vote filibuster threshold.

Not only does the Turtle not care about his voting base, he doesn’t care about the Bill of Rights.

A Border Patrol agent reportedly rushed into Uvalde school without backup to shoot and kill the gunman

A Border Patrol agent is being hailed as a hero over a report that the officer rushed into the scene of a mass shooting in order to shoot and kill the 18-year-old assailant.

The disturbing incident unfolded at the Robb Elementary School at a small farming community of Uvalde 85 miles west of San Antonio, Texas. At least 18 elementary students and 3 teachers were killed according to the latest count by Texas law enforcement officials.

An Associated Press report said that a Border Patrol agent was nearby when the shooting began and he rushed into the fray while the gunman was barricaded inside the school.

That agent was wounded in the confrontation, but he was able to walk out of the school.

Another report from Fox News reporter Bill Melugin said the agent was with the Border Patrol Tactical Unit and he went into the school with a tactical team while law enforcement officers were engaged with the barricaded shooter.

Homeland Security assistant secretary of public affairs Marsha Espinosa said in a statement that Border Patrol agents responded to a call for assistance from Texas law enforcement and entered the building.

"Risking their own lives, these Border Patrol Agents and other officers put themselves between the shooter and children on the scene to draw the shooter’s attention away from potential victims and save lives," added Espinosa.

She confirmed that one Border Patrol agent was injured.

"On-and-off duty Border Patrol Agents arrived on the scene to assist with transferring students safely to their families and providing medical support," she concluded. [read more]

A bright spot in the darkness of this evil. Good thing he was able to rescue some of the students and teachers including his wife.

The Case for Optimism: 10 Reasons Why the Pro-freedom Right Will Defeat the Anti-Liberty Left

J.B. Shurk’s motivational Case for Optimism made the important point that the freedom community on the right side of the political spectrum has to be optimistic simply because the anti-liberty left cannot win this fight.

Note the dual meaning. The leftist enemies of freedom and civil rights are such that it makes it impossible for them to win, and while it would be a disaster if that were to befall the planet, it is still hard to be positive when it’s been a steady diet of doom and gloom. Each day brings yet another attack on freedom and progress from people falsely labeling themselves “liberals” who want to implement collectivist ideas that can be traced back to ancient Greece.

Many of these reasons for optimism of the pro-freedom right are because they are directly contrasted with the negative characteristics of the anti-liberty left. While it may seem they have the upper hand at the moment, it is only a temporary condition.

Far-leftist liars can only play their little games of wholesale word re-definitions and projection for a little time, then factual reality has shown them for what they are and the lies no longer work. Recent events of ‘Let’s go Brandon!’ have shown us that the false façade is failing. These “advantages” will soon be reasons why the anti-liberty left is reviled. We’re only going to put up with the woke insanity for so long, after that, it’s as Newt Gingrich stated the other night, that those people are playing with fire and there are a lot more of us than there are of them.

While we have many reasons to be down, these here are 10 reasons to be optimistic:

1. We are on the side of freedom, the anti-liberty left is on the side of authoritarianism.

Let’s begin with these basic facts. No matter how many times the luminaries of the anti-liberty left try to gaslight everyone, they are the ones forcing people to wear virus spreader face masks, impose draconian vaccine mandates, set up Nazi pass systems, suppress free speech, censor the press, unconstitutionally confiscate guns, destroy privacy, and put in place secret police administrations all of which are among a growing number of impositions on liberty – typical of authoritarian regimes from around the world down through history, ranging from Nazi Germany to China. Pro-freedom patriots oppose all of those anti-freedom measures, regardless how they are spun as being necessary to save lives or democracy.

2. We have timeless advantages, the anti-liberty left has short-term tactics and tricks.

We of the pro-freedom right can be confident in the fact that we are standing on the shoulders of the original philosophers of true liberal democracy. Thus, this is a prime reason we are differentiating the two sides of the political spectrum; as the pro-freedom right and the anti-liberty left – with the latter being a small segment of that side of the spectrum.

Compare our rock-solid foundation to the shifting quicksand of tyranny that lies beneath the anti-liberty left’s socialist national agenda. While ours is based on liberty, theirs is based on societal slavery. The problem for them is that they have to hide this behind false labels and the projection of their tyrannical desires on us. These tactics only work for a limited time, then people question their integrity and their Potemkin Village falls apart. These are an illusionary advantage in the sense that they have to rely on them. It also means there is a cascade effect in that this makes them take other actions, such as suppressing free speech or the right of self defense. They can’t easily give up lying or cheating in elections because that would be catastrophic for them.

3. While we can be honest, the anti-liberty left has to lie to survive.

Aside from being consistent in labelling, we have nothing to do but state who we are and what we believe. We stand for liberty, limited government and individual civil rights. Stating that the political spectrum is a measure of governmental power means that the pro-freedom right favors liberty over control. This is contrasted with the other end where control is favored over liberty with our old friends, the anti-liberty left.

Plus, it’s important to note that the basic definitions of the various political terms – anarchist, libertarian, conservative, liberal on the right, and socialist, fascist, communist on the left bear out this metric in the political spectrum. Anti-liberty leftists have to incessantly lie about these basic facts to maintain their warped view of the political world – to the point that they tried to define Left and Right as nearly meaningless unless talking about who they want to demonize.

4. We believe in civil liberties and they don’t.

The appeal to a false sense of safety will only go so far for the anti-liberty left. Even now, many are waking up to the danger of letting an unelected elite ruin our lives with virus spreader and vaccine mandates. The fact is that these have done nothing to keep anyone safe. Meanwhile, the ruling oligarchy of the anti-liberty left is still making more demands and decreeing what we can and cannot do. Our default position is the defense of liberty, the anti-liberty left’s position is to destroy it.

It should be evident that our ideology is based on freedom, while the anti-liberty left’s ideology is based on control. It should also be evident that the former is far more popular than the latter. We only have to refer to the fact the enemies of liberty on the authoritarian far-left incessantly cloak themselves in the false label of liberal. While pumping out propaganda screeds that simply try to project their authoritarian tendencies on us when that doesn’t make any sense whatsoever, except in the fevered minds of the anti-liberty left.

5. We love the country, the anti-liberty left hates it.

We’re setting this out as a separate reason because it is distinct in that civil rights and liberty are distinguishable from the country. Anti-liberty leftists will on occasion try to claim they are defending freedom or democracy. They of course are lying through their teeth. Nevertheless, they will rarely feign patriotism as they did a few years ago. They’ve dropped many false pretexts and patriotism is one of them.

We on the other hand are proud of our country, warts and all. We know that no one is perfect, but the founding fathers created a unique and special system that is holding up to the left’s unfair assaults and incessant propaganda. They Hate Us Because We Don't Need Them

The hateful slurs and edicts that have come vomiting out of the mouths of progressive left-wing media talking heads lately has truly sunk to new lows.

I started my career during the Obama administration. There certainly was no shortage of insults and vitriol coming from the left, particularly aimed at black conservatives like me. It just came with the territory. We accepted it as the cost of battle and the late, great Andrew Breitbart taught us how to embrace it and even laugh about it. We were happy warriors.

The progressive legacy media never did take too kindly to the rise of conservative media, understandably but it rarely felt dangerous. More like…temper tantrums.

But what has been happening in progressive circles since Trump was elected is increasingly disturbing. Trump rocked their world. He was a complete outsider who wasn’t even supposed to be a serious player in the game, let alone the winner. It was too dangerous to have an outsider in the White House who wouldn’t respect the hierarchy and rules of Capitol Hill life. He had to go, and they spent four years doing everything in their power to make sure he would.

You’d think they’d be happy that they won. They got their guy. Even though Joe Biden is the strangest and saddest President I’ve ever experienced in my lifetime, the point remains…he’s their guy. Why don’t they seem happy?

Instead the progressive left has ramped up censorship and raised the flame underneath political discourse to near unbearable levels. Their figureheads- people like Joy Reid and AOC – go on tv and accuse conservative voters of being murderers, white supremacists, baby Hitlers. They have no ability to view their ideological opponents as humans anymore. Even the reasonable conservative pundits that they used to like are still the victims of their hate speech, because these days it isn’t about what you said and what your words and actions can prove about you. It’s about nothing more than the vote you cast.

The progressive left has decided that anyone who isn’t them is the enemy, and therefore the enemy must be eliminated by any means necessary.

Their preferred means is silence. The goal of the progressive left is to make sure we can’t participate in the public conversation, our ideas can’t be heard, our opinions can’t be considered. They truly believe that if they make the mouthpieces of conservatism go away that they’ll magically “solve” the problem of conservatives.

After all, you idiots are just little robots with no thoughts of your own! If we weren’t here to feed you your ideas you would simply stop thinking.

Obviously I’m being sarcastic, but that’s actually how the left views their own, and they project it onto us. They can’t defend their ideas. The only way to be influential is to force competing ideas out of the market.

Let’s face it. The real problem progressive leftists have with the right is that we don’t need them anymore.

Alabama boy sets record as most premature baby to survive

A boy from Alabama who was born at 21 weeks of pregnancy set a world record for being the earliest premature baby to survive.

Curtis Means was born in Birmingham, Alabama, 132 days premature on July 5, 2020, and weighed only 14.8 ounces, the Associated Press reported. Guinness World Records and UAB Hospital announced Wednesday that he had broken the world record.

Curtis had a twin sister, C’Asya, who died one day after birth.

Dr. Brian Sims explained that premature babies have a far greater chance of health complications and not surviving long after birth.

“We typically advise for compassionate care in situations of such extremely preterm births,” Sims said in a statement from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, which runs the hospital where Curtis was born. “This allows the parents to hold their babies and cherish what little time they may have together.”

He says Curtis beat the odds after he was discharged from the hospital after 275 days of growing in strength.

“Being able to finally take Curtis home and surprise my older children with their younger brother is a moment I will always remember,” mother Michelle Butler said.

Curtis still needs a feeding tube and supplemental oxygen, but Sims says he is in good health now considering how premature he was born.

“We do not know what all the future will hold for Curtis since there is no one else like him,” Sims explained. “He started writing his own story the day he was born. That story will be read and studied by many and, hopefully, will help improve care of premature infants around the world.” [source]
