New species of dinosaur discovered on UK’s Isle of Wight

From Just the News.com (June):

A new species of dinosaur with blade-like spikes for armor has been discovered on the Isle of Wight, off the south coast of England. Named Vectipelta barretti, it is the first armored dinosaur, or ankylosaur, to have been found on the island in 142 years, according to a statement from London’s Natural History Museum, where several of the researchers who discovered the dinosaur work. The dinosaur would have lived during the Early Cretaceous period, 145-100.5 million years ago, the museum said. [source]

THE FBI GROOMED A 16-YEAR-OLD WITH “BRAIN DEVELOPMENT ISSUES” TO BECOME A TERRORIST

From The Intercept.com (June 15):

LAST WEEK, the Department of Justice announced the arrest of a teenager in Massachusetts on allegations of providing financial support to the Islamic State group.

A flurry of reports picked up on the arrest of Mateo Ventura, an 18-year-old resident of the sleepy town of Wakefield, echoing government claims that an international terrorist financier and ISIS supporter had just been busted in the United States. The Department of Justice’s own press release on the case likewise trumpeted Ventura’s arrest for “knowingly concealing the source of material support or resources that he intended to go to a foreign terrorist organization.”

The only problem with the case and how it has been described, however, is that according to the government’s own criminal complaint, Ventura had never actually funded any terrorist group. The only “terrorist” he is accused of ever being in contact with was an undercover FBI agent who befriended him online as a 16-year-old, solicited small cash donations in the form of gift cards, and directed him not to tell anyone else about their intimate online relationship, including his family.

The arrest has shaken his family, who denied allegations that their son was a terrorist and said that he had been manipulated by the FBI. Ventura’s father, Paul Ventura, told The Intercept that Mateo suffered from childhood developmental issues and had been forced to leave his school due to bullying from other students.

“He was born prematurely, he had brain development issues. I had the school do a neurosurgery evaluation on him and they said his brain was underdeveloped,” Ventura said. “He was suffering endless bullying at school with other kids taking food off his plate, tripping him in the hallway, humiliating him, laughing at him.”

Contrary to the sensational narrative fed to the news media of terrorist financing in the U.S., the charging documents show that Ventura gave an undercover FBI agent gift cards for pitifully small amounts of cash, sometimes in $25 increments. In his initial bid to travel to the Islamic State, the teenager balked — making up an excuse, by the FBI’s own account, to explain why he did not want to go. When another opportunity to travel abroad arose, Ventura balked again, staying home on the evening of his supposed flight instead of traveling to the airport. By the time the investigation was winding down, he appeared ready to turn in his purported ISIS contact — an FBI agent — to the FBI. [read more]

That’s not right. Taking advantage of the kid. It’s bad enough it was a 16 year old, but a kid with “brain development” issues? That’s even worse.

Excerpts from the book “Bully of Asia” Part 3

Communist to all outward appearances, the new Chinese state was Legalist in essence, continuing the autocratic tradition of the imperial Chinese state by:

  • imposing an official ideology (Marxism-Leninism-Maoism) with interesting functional parallels to Chinese imperial orthodoxy (Legalism-Confucianism);
  • concentrating political power in the hands of a tiny minority, often of one, with power deriving ultimately from control of the military and wielded without appreciable institutional constraints;
  • treating the penal code and the legal system as tools of governance wielded by the ruler, who acts above legal constraints;
  • dominating most, and at times all, aspects of domestic commercial and economic life;
  • controlling all forms of social organization outside the nuclear family, which itself is severely restricted;
  • engaging in political practices familiar from dynastic times, such as censorship, large-scale persecutions, purges of the bureaucracy, court intrigues, and elite factional conflicts;
  • regarding the people as its property, as subjects rather than citizens.

………

As an emperor of the Legalist school—that is to say, the hegemon—Mao believed that the Mandate of Heaven gave him license to dominate, well, everything.

………

He [Liu Xiaobo, China’s most famous dissident]  saw Chinese nationalism as based on an unstable witch’s brew of deep-seated arrogance and conceit mixed with on-again, off-again spasms of inferiority, which are themselves back-handed psychological expressions of the same underlying narcissism. As Liu explained,

When a people like ours, who struggle with feelings of inferiority, have to face the facts of inadequate national strength, or of less than full respect from others, one way we try to feel better is to grab onto any piece of historical material that can make us proud. It is even all right to exaggerate a success wildly, so long as it contributes to an image of “number one” for the group. If it is hard to deny that we are inferior to others materially, we can claim, as Mao did, that we are superior spiritually. If we are not as good as others now, we can build the myth that we are bound to be the most powerful nation someday, because we certainly were in the past.

Liu saw the “China-as-Center Mentality” as a product of China’s extreme self-absorption, based less on objective reality than on blind self-confidence, empty boasts, and pent-up hatred. These insights—which, again, won him a long prison term—help to explain China’s craving for international respect no less than its often undiplomatic—even warlike—rhetoric when it feels itself slighted. China’s extraordinary sensitivity to slights is an outgrowth of the view that the world is divided between civilization (China) and barbarism (everything else). It is bad enough to be insulted by one’s equals, but to be insulted by one’s perceived inferiors is simply intolerable.

………..

It is worth emphasizing that just because China’s elites are well served by the grandiose view of China’s place in the world that they propagate to the masses, this does not mean that they don’t believe it themselves. For the most part, they are no less in thrall to national narcissism than the schoolchildren that they miseducate, or their forebears in dynasties past, for that matter.

Lawsuit By AGs In Missouri And Louisiana Argues Biden Is Colluding With Big Tech

From Tampa FP.com (May 10, 2022):

Two Republican state attorneys general filed a new lawsuit contending that Big Tech and President Joe Biden’s administration have colluded to suppress legitimate news under the ruse of stifling “misinformation.”

Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt and Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry announced Friday that they were suing Meta (Facebook), Twitter, YouTube, and others for their work to “censor and suppress free speech, including truthful information.” Usually doing o at the beck and call of Biden and his team.

The examples they offered included Hunter Biden’s laptop story, the lab-leak theory of the origin of COVID-19, and disputes about the effectiveness of masks, which the officials noted, led to Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis being “censored” by YouTube. They also noted the administration’s approval of a crackdown by Spotify of podcaster Joe Rogan.

The lawsuit asserts that Biden, White House spokeswoman Jen Pskai, Surgeon General Vivek Murthy, Dr. Anthony Fauci, and officials at the Department of Homeland Security, including Nina Jankowicz, the executive director of the new DHS Disinformation Governance Board. “Jankowicz,” the lawsuit says, “has called for more aggressive censorship of election-related speech by social-media platforms, and has implied that social-media censorship of election-related speech should never relent or be reduced.”

In return, social media companies have publicly admitted to working hand in hand with the government to crack down on “misinformation,” which almost always refers to opinions or information favored by conservatives.

“Freedom of speech is paramount to a healthy society and discourse, debate, and discussion have been the cornerstone of our country since the Founders codified that right in the Bill of Rights. In direct contravention to the First Amendment and freedom of speech, the Biden Administration has been engaged in a pernicious campaign to both pressure social media giants to censor and suppress speech and work directly with those platforms to achieve that censorship in a misguided and Orwellian campaign against ‘misinformation,’” Schmitt said in a statement.

“We allege that government officials in the Biden Administration, including President Biden, Press Secretary Jen Psaki, Dr. Anthony Fauci, Surgeon General Vivek Murthy, and others colluded with social media companies like Meta, Twitter, and Youtube to remove truthful information related to the lab-leak theory, the efficacy of masks, election integrity, and more. I will not stand idly by while the Biden Administration attempts to trample on the First Amendment rights of Missourians and Americans.”

In his statement, Landry added, “Big Tech has become an extension of Biden’s Big Government, and neither are protecting the freedoms of Americans; rather, they are suppressing truth and demonizing those who think differently.”

“Ripped from the playbook of Stalin and his ilk, Biden has been colluding with Big Tech to censor free speech and propagandize the masses. We are fighting back to ensure the rule of law and prevent the government from unconstitutional banning, chilling, and stifling of speech.”

According to their press release, the lawsuit maintains that the federal government violated the First Amendment rights of Missourians and Louisianans – and by extension, all Americans – by colluding with social media companies to censor and suppress freedom of speech.

“Defendants have coerced, threatened, and pressured social-media platforms to censor disfavored speakers and viewpoints by using threats of adverse government action,” the lawsuit itself says.

“Defendants are now directly colluding with social-media platforms to censor disfavored speakers and viewpoints, including by pressuring them to censor certain content and speakers, and ‘flagging’ disfavored content and speakers for censorship. These actions violate the First Amendment.” [source]

Biden Institutes Rules Forbidding US Soldiers from Non-Official Travel to Israel

From The Gateway Pundit.com (May 7, 2022):

The Times of Israel reported on this anti-Israel policy of the Biden/Obama regime that was recently put in place.  According to the Times of Israel:

Men and women serving in the US Armed Forces are restricted from traveling on leave to countries in the United States Central Command Area of Responsibility (AOR), which includes Israel, The Times of Israel has learned.

On September 8, 2021, exactly one week after Israel was officially moved into CENTCOM’s AOR, the Command published updates to its guidance on travel, signed by Chief of Staff Major General Patrick D. Frank. The revised Central Command Regulation 55-2  states that “unofficial travel into the USCENTCOM AOR is not authorized.”

According to the previous iteration of the document from June 9, 2020, unofficial travel — which includes leave — to countries in the AOR needed only permission from the first O-6 in the applicant’s chain of command. An O-6 is a captain in the US Navy and a colonel in the other branches of the US military.

Approval was almost always granted.

Under the new restrictive guidance, servicemen and women do have the option of appealing for emergency approval from their component commanders, senior flag officers at the rank of general and admiral. However, that process is highly unlikely to be approved. Requests must be made 30 days in advance, a requirement that flies in the face of most emergency circumstances…

…In the 2020 version, travel only to Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Syria, or Yemen was listed as “not authorized,” clearly a security precaution. Since the 2021 updates, however, relatively safe and stable US allies like the UAE and Israel are listed in the same way.

The restrictions do not only affect visiting troops. They also apply to the dozens of US reservists living or studying in Israel, who are on assignment elsewhere and wish to return to their homes and families. Currently, four reservist US military chaplains call Israel their home.

Those in the government who made up this new rule claim that it is in response to COVID but this may not be honest.  For example, we know that Barack Obama hates Israel.  He showed this by the way he treated Israel harshly during his term in office.

We also know Obama hated Israel by Obama’s actions in the Middle East.  Obama was behind arming ISIS.  Obama gave Iran billions and signed a worthless agreement that was sure to provide for Iran to obtain a nuclear weapon.  Now back in power after the stolen 2020 Election, Biden/Obama are doing all they can to help Iran while destroying the US economy in the process. House Ways and Means Committee: Biden Family Business Raked in $20M from 23 Countries via 20 Shell Companies

From Breitbart.com (Oct. 7):

“The newly released information shows that, in addition to China, Russia, and Ukraine, the Biden family influence peddling scheme was a vast global operation with ties to at least 23 countries and likely more,” the committee said Thursday.

“Additionally, the documentation suggests a deliberate attempt by the Biden family to evade taxes and shield visibility into how more than $20 million flowed from foreign sources by funneling it through more than 20 shell companies and LLCs,” the committee added.

Since January, House investigators uncovered that the Biden business created more than 20 shell companies, raked in more than $24 million from foreign countries, and identified a total of nine Biden family members who received money from the organization.

“The evidence today shows the complexity and scale of the Biden family influence peddling scheme. Millions of dollars were flowing through subsidiaries and LLCs to avoid taxes and shield visibility into how the money from foreign sources,” Ways and Means Committee Chair Jason Smith (R-MO) said in a statement.

House Republicans are investigating if President Joe Biden directly profited from his family’s ventures, even though monetary benefits to Biden family members are benefits to Joe Biden and, therefore, implicate him in wrongdoing, legal scholar Jonathan Turley argued before Congress in September.

House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) subpoenaed Hunter and James Biden in September to obtain their personal and business bank records, which could further link Joe Biden to his family’s foreign deals.

Comer’s subpoenas appear directed towards obtaining records linked to Joe Biden’s corporation, “CelticCapri Corp,” which received nearly $10 million in 2017 without specifying revenue line items. “So that’s an LLC account. It wasn’t a shell company — that was a real LLC account with more earnings in there than what we can find. So that is an account we plan to subpoena as we follow the money,” Comer said in September.

Questions remain about how then-Vice President Joe Biden’s corporation received the $10 million in 2017, a year that corresponds with elaborate webs of wire transactions and Joe Biden’s departure from the White House. The year 2017 also encompasses the timeframe an FBI informant alleged Burisma Holdings bribed Joe Biden with $5 million.

“This is organized crime,” Comer said in September. “I could make the argument that there’s already enough evidence to point to Joe being the ringleader of this, not just knowing, not just lying about it, but being the ringleader.”

“You don’t create 20 shell companies. You don’t have this array of transfers between shells that the banks quite quickly identified as money laundering,” Comer argued. “You don’t have an associate, someone that you were in business with, to be part of the first wire transfer if you weren’t organized.” [source]

Hamas terrorists 'murdered 40 babies' including beheadings, says report

From The JC.com (Oct. 10):

Bodies of young Israeli babies, including some with their heads cut off, have been found by IDF soldiers in a southern Israeli kibbutz, according to reports.

Soldiers discovered the bodies among burned out houses, strewn furniture and torched cars after Hamas terrorists attacked Kfar Aza kibbutz near the Gaza border.

In a video on X/Twitter, an i24 journalist said: “Talking to some of the soldiers here, they say what they witnessed as they’ve been walking through these communities is bodies of babies with their heads cut off and families gunned down in their beds.

“We can see some of these soldiers right now, comforting each other.”

Kfar Aza was one of the hardest hit areas when Hamas terrorists attacked Israel on Saturday morning.

Israeli troops were now going house to house to retrieve civilian bodies in body bags. They had not been able to take them before as they were still fighting gunmen and working through booby-traps.

In a statement on Tuesday, Israeli Major General Itai Veruv said: “You see the babies, the mothers, the fathers, in their bedrooms, in their protection rooms and how the terrorist kills them. It's not a war, it's not a battlefield. It's a massacre, it's a terror activity.

"It is something that I never saw in my life. It's something that we used to imagine from our grandfathers, grandmothers in the pogrom in Europe and other places. It's not something that happens in new history."

IDF soldiers had taken the foreign press through Kfar Aza kibbutz. Pictures from i24 news show soldiers comforting each other after making the discovery.

The JC has been unable to independently confirm these reports. [source]

The Tyranny of Ancient China’s Emperor Qin Shihuang

Still, despite the harshness of his [Emperor Qin Shihuang’s] laws and the strength of his personality cult, occasional acts of sedition did occur. The only way to achieve perfect control over his subjects, Li Si informed Emperor Qin, was to eradicate thought itself:

Your Majesty . . . has firmly established for yourself a position of sole supremacy. . . . And yet these independent schools [Confucianists and others], joining with each other, criticize the codes of laws and instructions. Hearing of the promulgation of a decree, they criticize it, each from the standpoint of his own school. At home they disapprove of it in their hearts; going out they criticize it in the thoroughfare. They seek a reputation by discrediting their sovereign; they appear superior by expressing contrary views, and they lead the lowly multitude in the spreading of slander. If such license is not prohibited, the sovereign power will decline above and partisan factions will form below. It would be well to prohibit this. Your servant suggests that all books in the imperial archives, save the memoirs of Qin, be burned.

Qin Shihuang agreed, and issued an imperial edict:

Anyone owning classical books or treatises on philosophy must hand them in within thirty days. After thirty days anyone found in possession of such writings will be branded on the cheek and sent to work as a laborer on the northern wall or some other government project. The only exceptions are books on medicine, drugs, astrology, and agronomy.

Private schools will be forbidden.

Those who wish to study law will do so under government officials.

Anyone indulging in political or philosophical discussion will be put to death, and his body exposed in public.

Scholars who use examples from antiquity to criticize the present, or who praise early dynasties in order to throw doubt on the policies of our own, most enlightened sovereign, will be executed, they and their families!

Government officials who turn a blind eye to the above-mentioned crimes will be deemed guilty by virtue of the principle of collective responsibility, and will incur the same punishment as that inflicted for the offense itself.

The consequences of the edict were swift and devastating. Pyres of burning books lit up the cities and towns as China’s ancient literature was reduced to ashes. For possessing forbidden texts, three million men had their faces branded with the stamp of infamy and were deported to the Great Wall. Numerous scholars committed suicide in protest, while others hanged or drowned themselves out of fear.

It is for his punishment of 463 famous Confucian scholars that the Qin emperor is most notorious. These were individuals that the emperor personally tried and found guilty of conspiracy, sabotage and lese-majesty. In the supreme atrocity of a long record of brutality, he sentenced them to the five tortures: beating, amputation of the nose, branding of the cheek, amputation of the feet and castration. Only after being tortured and unmanned were they then they were buried up to their necks in the earth and their heads crushed by chariot wheels.

As far as ordinary people were concerned, they were treated by the state as a disposable resource of the state. The terra cotta soldiers discovered near China’s ancient capital of Changan may have survived far longer than the bones of those construction workers buried alive to hide the location of the tomb from grave robbers, but it is those old bones of real victims—not the terra cotta soldiers—that best express the early history of China’s superordination of state over society.

Source: Bully of Asia: Why China's Dream Is the New Threat to World Order (2017) by Steven W. Mosher.

It’s interesting even in ancient tyrannies, private schools were forbidden. I guess tyranny is tyranny no matter what time period. The State cannot be criticized.

Investigator Gregg Phillips: FOX’s Lawyers Are Keeping “2000 Mules” Off of the Channel (VIDEO)

From The Gateway Pundit.com (May 8, 2022):

Earlier this week The Gateway Pundit reported on how FOX News joined the mainstream liberal media cabal and boycotted coverage of the “2000 Mules” documentary on the nation-wide ballot trafficking conspiracy to steal the 2020 presidential election.

To his credit, Tucker Carlson did invite True the Vote’s Catherine Engelbrecht on his top-rated program the day after the premiere of the movie at Mar-a-Lago.

But besides Tucker’s segment, the channel has kept any mention of the historic documentary off of its airwaves.

On Saturday night election intelligence investigator Gregg Phillips told the audience at the “2000 Mules” virtual premier that FOX’s lawyers are keeping the film off of the channel.

This is such a sad development for FOX News.

First, they had their bogus polls, then they had their disgusting election coverage, then they dropped all talk of election irregularities, and now they are keeping “2000 Mules” off the airwaves.

With few exceptions, FOX News Channel is morphing into CNN before our eyes. [source]

It is sad. I wonder if Fox News won’t advertise D’Souza’s new documentary “Police State.”

Report: FBI Eyes Trump Supporters Ahead of '24 Vote

From News Max.com (Oct. 4):

The FBI reportedly is secretly targeting supporters of former President Donald Trump to prevent violence or any major civil disturbances around the time of the 2024 elections.

Newsweek reported Wednesday it spoke to more than a dozen current or former government officials who specialize in terrorism in a three-month investigation about the domestic-security landscape and to evaluate what President Joe Biden's administration is doing about what it calls domestic terrorism.

A current FBI official who requested anonymity told Newsweek the bureau is trying to avoid a repeat of the events of Jan. 6, 2021, but must also protect the constitutional rights of Americans to speak freely and protest the government. The official said by focusing solely on Trump supporters, the FBI risks provoking the type of anti-government activities it is working hard to prevent.

"Especially at a time when the White House is facing congressional Republican opposition claiming that the Biden administration has 'weaponized' the bureau against the right wing, it has to tread very carefully," the official said.

Biden and his administration have repeatedly presented Trump supporters, including Republicans in Congress, as an existential threat to democracy.

"Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans are a threat to the very soul of this country," Biden posted Sept. 1, 2022, on X, formerly known as Twitter.

In a speech at the Columbus Club in Washington, D.C., on Nov. 2, 2022, Biden said: "Extreme MAGA Republicans aim to question not only the legitimacy of past elections but elections being held now and into the future.”

A senior intelligence official who works at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence told Newsweek that Biden's rhetoric on domestic terrorism could goad his opponents into taking more extreme action — particularly those who have lost their faith in elections or believe the system is rigged against them.

Newsweek also reported it reviewed secret FBI and Department of Homeland Security data that track incidents, threats, investigations, and cases. It reported many experts question whether "terrorism" is the best way to describe the problem, or the methods of counterterrorism developed in response to al-Qaida and other radical Islamist groups are the most efficient ways to craft domestic solutions.

In October, 2022, the FBI created a new subcategory, AGAAVE-Other, which stands for anti-government, anti-authority violent extremism — describing those who were a threat but do not fit into its anarchist, militia, or Sovereign Citizen groups. Newsweek reported

The new classification is officially defined as "domestic violent extremists who cite anti-government or anti-authority motivations for violence or criminal activity not otherwise defined, such as individuals motivated by a desire to commit violence against those with a real or perceived association with a specific political party or faction of a specific political party."

Government insiders acknowledged to Newsweek that although they are not named specifically, the AGAAVE-Other title applies to political violence associated with Trump supporters.

In a statement to Newsweek, the FBI said the AGAAVE threat "includes anarchist violent extremists, militia violent extremists, sovereign citizen violent extremists, and other violent extremists — some of whom are motivated by a desire to harm those with a real or perceived association with a political party or faction.”

The FBI also told Newsweek the investigations are not only limited to Trump supporters:

"These violent extremists have targeted both Republican and Democratic members of Congress."

But another senior intelligence official who requested anonymity told Newsweek that "Trump's army constitutes the greatest threat of violence domestically ... politically ... that's the reality and the problem set.

"That's what the FBI, as a law enforcement agency has to deal with. But whether Trump and his supporters are a threat to national security, to the country, whether they represent a threat of civil war? That's a trickier question. And that's for the country to deal with, not the FBI."

Newsmax reached out to the Trump campaign for comment. [source]

And yet the FBI doesn’t arrest Antifa and BLM members. Then again they are also the Left’s shock troops.  So, the Briben regime won’t have the FBI arrest them.

Dan Bongino on his podcast thinks this article was no leak but a warning shot. He says if this was a leak the FBI official would have leaked the story to a conservative newspaper like News Max or even Fox News. Bongino might be right. It’s interesting in the Newsweek article it quotes an FBI officer who says:

"Obviously if Democratic Party supporters resort to violence, it [AGAAVE-Other] would apply to them as well. It doesn't matter that there is a low likelihood of that. So yes, in practical terms, it refers to MAGA, though the carefully constructed language is wholly nonpartisan."

Yea, it looks this is not only a warning shot but a wink-and-a-nod to the far-Left thugs to do their terrorism and not to worry.

REPORT: Russian President Vladimir Putin Has Cancer

From Red State.com (May 2, 2022):

Rumors regarding Russian President Vladimir Putin’s health have been making their rounds amid the invasion of Ukraine. Now, a report confirms that he has cancer and is set to undergo surgery. He will hand off power to a former federal police chief as he goes through the procedure.

A shadowy Telegram channel called “General SVR” published a video on Saturday claiming Putin was told he must have an operation. The channel is believed to be run by a former Russian Foreign Intelligence Service lieutenant with the pseudonym “Viktor Mikhailovich.” The Russian president is expected to be out of action for “a short time” according to the video.

Putin will transfer authority to ex-FSB chief Nikolai Patrushev, who is known as a hardliner. He is also believed to be the person who convinced Putin that Ukraine’s military is run by Nazis.

“Putin is unlikely to agree to hand over power for a longer period of time,” the narrator of the video explained. He noted that Patrushev will probably only be in power for about two to three days.

“I will say that this is the worst option,” the speaker said. “Patrushev is an outright villain. He is no better than Vladimir Putin. Moreover, he is a more cunning, and I would say, more insidious person than Vladimir Putin. If he comes to power, Russians’ problems will only multiply.”

The Russian president’s recent appearances have elicited rumors that he could be suffering from cancer, Parkinson’s disease, or a series of other ailments. The insider said his cancer has been progressing but stopped short of making any definitive claims because he did not wish to give viewers “false hope.”

In a post on Thursday, SVR General said Putin and Patrushev had a two-hour “heart-to-heart” discussion. “We know that Putin signaled to Patrushev that he considers him to be practically his only trusted ally and friend in the government,” the author claimed. “Additionally, the president promised that if his health takes a turn for the worse, actual control of the country will temporarily pass into Patrushev’s hands.”

The Telegram channel has insisted since November of last year that Putin suffers from bowel cancer. Proekt, another Russian-language news outlet, reported that a top thyroid cancer surgeon visited the Russian leader several times. The Russian government has repeatedly denied that Putin has any medical problems.

If the report is true, this development doesn’t exactly come at an opportune moment for the Kremlin. The invasion, which is in its third month, has resulted in heavy losses for Russia. So far, it does not appear that victory is likely for Moscow anytime soon. [source]

Govt Watchdog: WH Press Secretary Violated Hatch Act

From News Max.com (June 13):

A government watchdog agency said White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre violated the Hatch Act when she repeatedly referred to "MAGA Republican officials who don't believe in the rule of law" as the 2022 midterm elections approached, NBC News reported.

The Hatch Act was created to prevent federal workers from using their offices to influence elections.

The Office of Special Counsel found that Jean-Pierre's choice of words when referring to Republican candidates violated the act, according to NBC News.

"Because Ms. Jean‐Pierre made the statements while acting in her official capacity, she violated the Hatch Act prohibition against using her official authority or influence for the purpose of interfering with or affecting the result of an election," Ana Galindo‐Marrone, who leads the agency's Hatch Act Unit, wrote in a letter.

The Office of Special Counsel "decided to close this matter without further action," Galindo‐Marrone wrote in the letter. She noted that the White House counsel's office "did not at the time believe that Ms. Jean‐Pierre's remarks were prohibited."

At a Nov. 2 White House briefing, Jean-Pierre referred to "mega MAGA Republican officials who don't believe in the rule of law." She also made other disparaging comments about Republican candidates, according to a Hatch Act complaint filed by the conservative watchdog group Protect the Public's Trust in November.

Axios reported that White House spokesperson Andrew Bates said in a statement that Biden administration officials are reviewing the opinion from the special counsel.

"As has been made clear throughout the administration, we take the law seriously and uphold the Hatch Act," Bates said. [source]

Yea, sounds like she violated the act. Voter intimidation for sure. But the Left doesn’t care. It’s what they do. Politics is war.

China’s Legalist System

Han Fei and other Legalists were offensive realists on steroids, dedicated to the proposition that “he who has the most power wins.” In pursuit of power, they helped to design and implement the series of political “reforms” that were enhancing the authority of the monarch, building and maintaining strong armies, increasing agricultural production, building up an appointed bureaucracy to replace an unreliable hereditary aristocracy, increasing state revenues, improving the state’s ability to regulate commerce, intimidating the people into subjection, and crushing any and all dissent.

…………….

The essence of Legalist doctrines was the supremacy of the ruler: “The ruler occupies the position of power; [he] dominates the people and commands the wealth of the state.” Power could only be concentrated in the hands of the ruler by weakening the nobility and further subjugating commoners, so this is what the Legalist program consciously and with great rigor set out to do.

To strengthen the state at the expense of the nobility, the Legalists advised their sovereigns that they should no longer share power with a class of hereditary feudal lords. Within the court, aristocratic officials serving in inherited posts found themselves replaced by appointed bureaucrats, often ordinary gentry-scholars or non-natives, whom the ruler could discharge, or even execute, at will.12 In the countryside, feudal lords were displaced by appointed magistrates who served at the pleasure of the ruler.

………..

To strengthen the ruler’s hand over the people, the Legalists recommended such policies as:

  • accumulation of people as an indispensable component of power: “Therefore the ruler of men desires to have more people for his own use. . . . The ruler loves the people because they are useful.”
  • suppression of all voluntary associations: “The early kings always made certain that the interests of their subjects diverged. Thus under perfect governance, spouses and friends, however close to one another, can neither refuse to report another’s crimes, nor cover up for them.”
  • establishment of informer networks: “The wise ruler forces the whole world to hear and to watch for him. . . . No one in the world can hide from him or scheme against him.”
  • use of punishment instead of reward: “A well-governed state. . .employs nine punishments to one reward; whereas a weak state employs nine rewards to one punishment.”
  • harsh punishment for violations according to set laws: “If crimes are punished by execution, then the law wins over the people and the army is strong.”
  • mutual surveillance and collective punishment: “The people were commanded to be organized into groups of fives and tens. They must be under mutual surveillance and punished for crimes committed by other members of their group. Those who failed to inform against a crime were to be cut in half at the waist.”

Republicans vow to eradicate Biden's Disinformation Governance Board. Boebert says it is at a 'Stalin level,' DeSantis warns: 'You cannot have a ministry of truth in this country.'

From The Blaze.com (Apr. 30, 2022):

Republicans have come out swinging against the Biden administration's newly announced Disinformation Governance Board.

The Department of Homeland Security announced that it had created a new government entity to tackle online disinformation – especially on key topics of elections, COVID-19, the war in Ukraine, and the immigration crisis at the U.S. southern border.

However, Republicans fear that the new board will attempt to stifle free speech. Several GOP politicians immediately railed against President Joe Biden's Disinformation Governance Board, some have vowed to dismantle the entity.

Numerous Republicans labeled the new board as a "ministry of truth," referencing the department of propaganda in George Orwell's dystopian book "1984."

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) proclaimed, "The same party that spent years promoting the Russia collusion hoax, suppressed the Hunter Biden laptop story, & equated parents to terrorists believes it has credibility to control your speech. Biden must immediately abandon his plan to create an Orwellian Ministry of Truth."

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) wrote on Twitter, "Nothing else we are working on will matter if we don’t put an end to the Biden’s Ministry of Truth."

Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-Texas) questioned, "We’re supposed to trust the Department of Homeland Security to run a 'Ministry of Truth' when its current Secretary spent this week lying repeatedly to Congress that our border is secure?"

Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) reacted by saying, "Joe Biden wants to create a ‘ministry of truth’ to govern and police your thoughts and your free speech. This goes against everything our country stands for. Biden's DHS should focus more on the crisis at our southern border and less on their 'ministry of truth.'"

Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.) noted, "The Biden administration just took one more step towards Communism. DHS' 'Ministry of Truth' is a crackdown on our Constitutional right to Free Speech."

Rep. Steve Scalise wrote on Twitter, "Biden's Orwellian Ministry of Truth should be disbanded immediately. Deep State liberals shouldn't be controlling what Americans are allowed to know and say."

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) inquired, "Now that the Biden regime has a Ministry of Truth, what’s next? Re-education camps?"

Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-N.Y.) exclaimed, "DEFUND Biden’s Ministry of Truth! This isn’t North Korea, Cuba or Iran. This is the USA where we don’t need biased political hack bureaucrats gaslighting the rest of our country on whatever they want to declare to be true or false."

Ohio congressional candidate J.D. Vancedeclared, "When I get to the Senate I’ll defund the Biden Administration’s Ministry of Truth. This is downright scary."

Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-N.Y.) pointed out, "The first thing President Biden did in response to Elon Musk buying Twitter was to establish the 'Ministry of Truth!' Are we surprised? Free speech should not be censored. Congress did not create this new office and it should be dissolved. If it's not, it must be defunded."

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) tweeted on Friday, "The Federal Government has no business creating a Ministry of Truth. The Department of Homeland Security's "Disinformation Board" is unconstitutional and unamerican, and I'll be introducing a bill to defund it."

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) warned, "I don’t think people are fully understanding the severity of what a Ministry of Truth organized by DHS truly means. This is Stalin level. This is Mao level. This is the hill to die on."

Boebert also penned legislation to defund the DHS' Disinformation Governance Board.

"This kind of stuff is terrifying. We in Congress have the power of the purse. It is our duty to shut down this department immediately," Boebert told Fox News. "I'm calling on leadership in the Republican Party — Leader [Kevin] McCarthy, Whip [Steve] Scalise and others — to join me in calling for this department to be shut down and defunded."

"No tax dollars should go to where Biden can use the power of the federal government to silence truthful stories like Big Tech did with the Hunter Biden story," Boebert added.

Boebert claimed that Democrats took Orwell's "1984" novel "not as a warning, but as a guide."

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis proclaimed that he "will be fighting back" against Biden's Disinformation Governance Board – which he initially thought was a "belated April Fool's joke."

"They are actually going to create, and the Department of Homeland Security, a bureau of disinformation," DeSantis said during a press conference on Saturday. "It's basically a ministry of truth."

"And what they want to do is they want to be able to put out false narratives without people being able to speak out and fight back," the Republican governor of Florida said. "They want to be able to say things like Russia collusion, and perpetuate hoaxes, and then have people like us be silenced. They want to be able to advocate for COVID lockdowns. They want to be able to be an advocate for school closures, things that are not supported by the evidence, but then when you speak out, they want to stifle dissent."

"You cannot have a ministry of truth in this country," DeSantis continued. "We believe it’s essential that individual Floridians and Americans are able to speak out against the false narratives trying to be jammed down our throats by this regime."

"And so we reject this bureau in the state of Florida," DeSantis stated. [source]

RINOs and Democrats Just Stole Future Elections in Deep Red Alaska — And the Republican Party DID NOT LIFT A FINGER to Stop It

From The Gateway Pundit.com (May 1, 2022):

In the coming days Dinesh D’Souza and Salem Media will release the much-anticipated movie “2000 Mules” on the 2020 presidential election heist. The movie will reveal how thousands of ballot traffickers working in all of the battleground states stuffed hundreds of thousands of ballots into the ballot drop boxes in order to steal the election for Joe Biden.

“2000 Mules” will focus on the extraordinary work by True the Vote founder Catherine Engelbrecht and business owner and election intelligence expert Gregg Phillips.

During a recent interview with The Gateway Pundit and 100% Fed Up, Catherine and Gregg shared that they discovered that 7% of mail-in ballots were trafficked during the 2020 election. There were over 2,000 ballot trafficking mules in 2020 and they were able to steal the election in every single battleground state for Joe Biden.

So, it goes without saying that if you want free and fair elections in your state you would not allow mail-in voting.

For some reason, the news did not reach our northernmost state.

As The Gateway Pundit reported in March, Alaska will move to mail-in voting. And at the same time they dropped signature verification on ballots. Republicans just gave the state away. How tragic.

According to Joel Davidson at Alaska Watch:

Alaska’s Division of Elections will not verify the authenticity of voter signatures on the ballots cast in the upcoming June 11 special statewide primary to replace Rep. Don Young.

“There is no statutory authority to verify signatures, but voters will have to provide witness signatures,” a March 25 email from Alaska’s Division of Elections stated.

Since this will be the first time Alaska has ever conducted a statewide mail-in election, concerns have been raised about how the state will ensure that voters are who they claim to be.

Nationally, the most common way of verifying mail-in ballots is to have elections officials verify that a voter’s signature matches the signature on file with the division of elections.

The state won’t pass bills that prevent voter fraud through the verification of signatures.

Multiple bills have been introduced in the current legislative session to address voter integrity issues, including voter signature verification, but they have languished in various House and Senate committee assignments. Lt. Gov. Kevin Meyer submitted legislation to the current Legislature to address this issue, but his Senate Bill 167 has languished in the Senate State Affairs Committee since Jan. 18th with no movement. Several other bills dealing with voter signature verification have been introduced, including House Bill 96 by Gov. Mike Dunleavy. That bill has stalled in the House State Affairs Committee.

But there’s more…
The Republican lawmakers managed to pass several new rules that ensure the state will be lost forever.

Seth Keshel reported:

Allow me to account for the most severe symptoms plaguing Alaska’s elections:

1) Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD) automatic registration – On November 8, 2016, the same night Donald Trump was elected, Alaska’s voters approved Ballot Measure 1 (15PFVR), which automatically registers applicants for the PFD. The damage will be unveiled later in this article.

2) Ranked Choice Voting (RCV) – approved in 2020, and the first election using it will be run later in 2022 for the vacant U.S. House seat left behind by the deceased Don Young. Ranked Choice Voting allows a pathway for extreme candidates to supplant candidates who are most likely to be elected with strong pluralities, and practically entrenches incumbents in Democrat strongholds.

3) Experimentation with mail-in voting – as with RCV, mail-in voting will be the method for the U.S. House race coming later in 2022. With Alaska’s hostile climate and influence from west coast neighbors, it is only a matter of time until a full-on blitz begins to entrench mail-in voting.

These new rule changes will ensure the state becomes the next Oregon or California.

And, once again, the national Republican Party was AWOL. They don’t really care. They did nothing.

At what point do we all agree that the RNC is a subsidiary of the DNC? [source]

If the republican party wants to lose elections, doing the above or allowing the above is a good start. Just plain stupid.

Shocker: 96% of U.S. climate data is corrupted

From Hot Air.com (June 11):

This seems like an appropriate time for a story like this to pop up since it involves both smoke clouds and climate change. You probably heard how AOC was quick to blame the clouds of smoke wafting down from the Canadian wildfires last week on climate change. As you likely expected without even needing to check, that turns out to be nonsense. But the underlying facts that prove its nonsensical nature turn out to be well rooted in science. And researching this question turns up something even more interesting, which we’ll get to in a moment.

You should check out the work of veteran meteorologist Anthony Watts of the Heartland Institute. He’s been studying the weather and the climate in general for a very long time. He travels around the country inspecting meteorological equipment and studies historical weather data from around the world. One of the first findings he would like the public to be aware of is that not only are wildfires common in many parts of North America, but the reality is that in the 21st century, they have actually been less numerous than they were in the past. They’re just getting more attention from the press and on social media.

Rather than focusing discussion on what the real or imagined harms may be, how to mitigate them, and how to help people, climate activists are taking the opportunity to blame “climate change” for the smoke. The reality is wildfires are becoming less frequent and severe as the planet modestly warms. As wildfires become less frequent, it is nonsensical to blame the few wildfires that remain on climate change…

“Peer-reviewed studies and verified satellite observations show beyond a shadow of a doubt that wildfires in the long term, mid-term, and short term have become less frequent and less severe as the Earth modestly warms. The likely reason is the measured increase in evaporation from the world’s oceans, which has resulted in more frequent global precipitation.”

That’s not the shocking part of the story, however. When discussing the “modest warming” that the planet has exhibited, there is a need to have solid data. But as Dr. Watts has examined weather stations around the country, he has discovered that the available data may be nearly useless when attempting to quantify very slight changes in average temperatures. That’s because more than 90% of the data is “corrupted.” And the reason for that is the reality that the vast majority of thermometers that NOAA relies on are improperly installed and maintained, leading to the recording of artificially higher temperatures.

A new study, Corrupted Climate Stations: The Official U.S. Surface Temperature Record Remains Fatally Flawed, finds approximately 96 percent of U.S. temperature stations used to measure climate change fail to meet what the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) considers to be “acceptable” and uncorrupted placement by its own published standards.

The report, published by The Heartland Institute, was compiled via satellite and in-person survey visits to NOAA weather stations that contribute to the “official” land temperature data in the United States. The research shows that 96% of these stations are corrupted by localized effects of urbanization – producing heat-bias because of their close proximity to asphalt, machinery, and other heat-producing, heat-trapping, or heat-accentuating objects.

In order to produce accurate temperature readings based on NOAA’s own published standards, thermometers are supposed to be in natural,  “pristine” locations like fields, forests, hilltops, etc. But Dr. Watts’ research has revealed that more than 90% of NOAA thermometers are in inappropriate places. 96% are in parking lots, on buildings, against brick walls, or in other artificial environments. The bricks, asphalt and other human construction materials used in these environments artificially trap heat, leading to a “warming bias” in the collected data. Thermometers placed in natural settings register lower average temperatures.

That’s not to say that the cities, parking lots, and highways aren’t warmer. They clearly are. But it’s not because the planet overall is getting warmer. It’s because we build things that trap and retain more heat than Mother Nature would capture and retain if left to her own devices. This is one more excellent piece of data supporting a plan that I’ve been endorsing here for quite some time.

There is a way to reduce warming cheaply and relatively easily. And it doesn’t involve banning gas stoves, outlawing people’s cars, or decimating the fossil fuel industry. You just need to plant a trillion trees. There are innovative design projects in place allowing trees and shrubbery to be planted on and around buildings in urban areas, along with vast tracts of former forestland that should be restored. All of those plants will create shade, lowering the local temperature. They will simultaneously suck carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere and replace it with oxygen if you’re interested in that sort of thing. Sadly, trees do all of this on their own with no intervention from humans. That means they don’t make any money for people like John Kerry and his private jet-setting friends, so you’ll never hear them endorse it. [source]

Doesn't sound good. Then again does the enviro-extremists care? Probably not. It’s the “earth-burning-up” narrative that counts. Facts don’t matter.

Asian-American Student Has Near-Perfect SAT Score and a 4.65 8GPA, Gets Ugly Shock After Applications to Elite Universities

From Western Journal.com (June 11):

Ask Asian children who their harshest critics are, and you will invariably get some answer involving mom, dad, or both.

Bad news for Asian-Americans across the United States — they won’t be finding much reprieve from school administrators and staff at the university level.

Look no further than the curious case of 18-year-old Jon Wang, a Florida native sporting some impressive academic marks.

According to Fox News, Wang scored a sterling 1590 out of 1600 on his SAT exam (many Asian parents would probably be mad about him being 10 points short of a perfect score) and earned an eye-popping 4.65 high school GPA, thanks to advanced classes that enable students to achieve GPAs higher than the 4.0 associated with straight A’s.

Given those marks, and the fact that Wang doesn’t appear to have any character or criminal issues, you would think one of the admissions departments at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, California Institute of Technology, Princeton, Harvard, Carnegie Mellon University or the University of California, Berkeley, would give Wang the time of day.

You would think wrong.

Wang told Fox that he was rejected by all of them.

So, what gives? What possible explanation could be provided that would explain why Wang couldn’t make the cut?

Wang has one idea why — and it’s one that he was warned about when he began the application process.

In short, Wang blames the paradoxically named “affirmative action” that is neither affirming nor helpful for his issues.

Wang told Fox that when he began applying for school, his friends and counselors warned that “it’s tougher to get in, especially as an Asian-American.”

Apparently, the color of Wang’s skin color and ethnic background (his parents are both first-generation Chinese immigrants) matters to schools — and not in the “good” way that skin color and ethnicity usually matter when discussing minorities.

That’s because, for all intents and purposes of “affirmative action,” you may as well take away the “Person of Color” qualifier from Asian Americans.

Look no further than the loaded language used by CNN to describe the fact that Asian-Americans make up nearly 28 percent of Harvard’s admitted class of 2026: “Demographically Overrepresented.”

Why does demographic representation matter when it comes to (what should be) an educational meritocracy?

(Also, how incredibly offensive is it to all parties involved that schools are apparently saying that the only way for certain people of color to succeed in school is for other people of color to be artificially tamped down?)

Regardless, according to simulations run by the advocacy group Students for Fair Admissions, Wang’s Asian background reduced his chances of getting into the school of his choice by about 75 percent.

“I gave them my test scores, and then they must’ve ran the model on that… [they] told me I had a 20 percent chance of getting accepted to Harvard as an Asian-American and a 95 percent chance as an African-American,” Wang told Fox.

Speaking of Students for Fair Admissions, if that group sounds at all familiar to you, that’s because it is involved in two separate, but related cases involving Harvard and the University of North Carolina, and both of those cases are currently sitting in front of the Supreme Court.

In the Harvard case specifically, according to CNN, Students for Fair Admissions is alleging that the school discriminates against Asian-American by, effectively, holding them to a different standard than other applicants.

Indeed, there has always been something that has felt a bit off about “affirmative action.”

Apart from the obvious offensiveness of it all, in what world does it make sense to minimize academic merit in … academia?

It makes no sense, it’s backward, and it’s the kind of nonsense that Students for Fair Admissions is trying to eliminate, with the ultimate goal of overturning the 2003 precedent case of Grutter v. Bollinger, which found that schools using race as a factor in admissions was not unconstitutional.

Depending on how these Harvard and UNC cases go with SCOTUS, that goal could be closer to fruition than ever.

And if that precedent case is overturned, students of all races and ethnic backgrounds can focus solely on their academics when trying to get into institutes of higher education, as opposed to things that are literally out of their control.

Anyone who complains about that clearly doesn’t care about students or universities. [source]

Oriental people are discriminated against because the Left in universities believe the Orientals are white conservative people not a minority.

Renewable Failure

From John Stossel on Townhall.com (Mar. 23, 2022):

The "Greens" promise renewables, solar and wind power, will replace fossil fuels. After all, the wind and sun are free, and they don't pollute!

Oops.

Now countries that embraced renewables are so desperate for power that they eagerly import coal, the worst polluter of all!

Do they apologize? No. Greens never apologize.

Germany was a leader in renewable energy, so confident in solar and wind power that they closed half their nuclear plants.

Oops.

That leaves Germans so short of power that Germans are now desperate to buy fossil fuels from Russia. Even worse, pollution-wise, high pollution coal now tops wind as Germany's biggest electricity source. That's really disgusting.

Then, even after putting all that soot in the air, Germans pay more than triple what Americans pay for electricity.

For my new video, I confront German-born environmentalist Johanna Neumann of Environment America, a group that lobbies for 100% renewable energy.

I point out that despite massive subsidies, her beloved renewables still provide just 12% of our power. She responds, "Saying renewables are not yet powering our utility grid is like critiquing a 2-year-old for not being able to run a marathon."

A 2-year-old? I don't want to meet that kid. Renewables have been subsidized for 40 years, not two.

"How we spend our taxes ought to be a reflection of our values," Neumann adds. "Americans ... love renewable energy."

Yes, I suppose we do. We like the idea of it. I put solar panels on my roof. I'd be a sucker not to. Massachusetts takes money from other state residents to give me a tax break on solar panels.

Still, in winter, when the sun is low, or my panels are covered by snow, I get nothing from my solar panels.

What kind of energy solution is that? People need energy when it's cloudy, too. They also need it when the wind doesn't blow.

"When the sun goes down ... offshore winds get cranked up," says Neumann.

No, they don't!

"The wind doesn't always come up when the sun goes down," I point out.

"Renewables are clearly better," Neumann replies.

She says we'll solve renewable energy's inconsistency by doing things like storing energy in batteries.

Well, yes, a battery that holds energy for weeks would make renewables work. But it doesn't exist.

"This is just a total fantasy, which is why nobody has done it anywhere, ever!" says Alex Epstein, author of "The Moral Case for Fossil Fuels."

Fossil fuels are moral, Epstein correctly points out, because human flourishing depends on them.

Abundant fossil fuels are especially important for poor people.

"Three billion people in the world still use less electricity than a typical American refrigerator. Are we going to allow them to have a modern life? Because that's going to depend on fossil fuels."

Even if climate change becomes a serious problem, fossil fuels reduce its harm by making us prosperous enough to afford protection against the climate.

"We have a 98% decline in climate-related disaster deaths over the last 100 years," Epstein points out.

A 98% drop in deaths! This is the amazing untold story of fossil fuels and their benefits. Because oil and natural gas so efficiently provide power, heat homes when it's freezing, pump water during droughts, etc., millions thrive, despite problems like climate change.

Thanks to fossil fuels, "We have this amazing productive ability," says Epstein. "That's the only reason we experience the planet as livable."

Global warming is a threat. Limiting fossil fuels now, without a capable alternative, will make it even harder to deal with the effects.

Unless someone invents a miracle battery or something else that makes sun and wind power practical, we need fossil fuels, desperately.

Poor people need them most. [source]

To the Left fossil fuels are just evil. That’s just part of their religion.

Chip Shortage Leads Major Firm to Scavenge Semiconductors From Old Washing Machines

From The Epoch Times.com (Apr. 21, 2022):

The global semiconductor shortage has led a major industrial conglomerate to resort to buying up old washing machines and removing chips from inside them for use in their own products, according to the head of a supplier of key technologies to chipmakers.

Peter Wennink, CEO of ASML, a company that dominates the global market for machines used to etch circuits into silicon wafers, made the remarks in an April 20 earnings call, without identifying by name the conglomerate that was scavenging chips from washing machines.

Wennink said ASML had a record year in terms of sales and profits and was facing "unprecedented customer demand" across all sectors, including for its lithography machines that function as a kind of printing press for silicon chips.

"With this unprecedented demand exceeding our capacity, we are ramping our output capability to meet the strong demand," he said, acknowledging challenges such as labor force constraints and the vulnerability of operating at full steam. "We are even more vulnerable when running at maximum capacity as there's little room for recovery when things don't turn out as planned."

Wennink noted that ASML went on a major hiring spree last year, although many of the new hires still have to be fully trained.

Like the chipmakers it supplies, ASML is also having to work through its own equipment and component shortages and COVID-related supply chain disruptions, according to Wennink.

"All of what I just mentioned needs maximum attention and monitoring, creativity and flexibility of all our partners and stakeholders," he said, noting that some testing of ASML equipment was being downstreamed to customer sites, which has freed up additional production capacity.

Wennink told Financial Times in March that chipmakers’ multibillion-dollar expansion plans will be constrained by shortages of key equipment over the next two years as the supply chain struggles to accelerate production. Surging demand for semiconductors has exposed supply chain kinks, prompting a historic wave of investment and an unlocking of government subsidies.

“It took 50 years to become a half-a-trillion-dollar industry. It’ll take just eight to 10 years to reach a trillion dollars,” Tom Caulfield, CEO of GlobalFoundries, one of the world’s largest semiconductor manufacturers, told The Wall Street Journal in a recent interview.

In telling the anecdote about the unnamed major industrial company that he said was buying old washing machines in order to salvage the chips in them, Wennink said the story wasn't unique, illustrating the desperation on the part of chipmakers to meet demand.

Wennink also said on the earnings call that the utilization rates of ASML's machines were at all-time highs, suggesting that customers are buying more not to stockpile, but because they can't keep up with surging demand.

"We're just looking at the data points; they just point to a market that is significantly short of semiconductor manufacturing capacity, this year and next year," he said.

Intel, which relies on ASML’s lithography equipment, told Financial Times that there’s still time to resolve the shortage of the lithography machines. That’s because it takes two years to build the shell of a chip factory and ASML’s machines won’t be needed until year three or four, Pat Gelsinger, CEO of Intel, told the media outlet.

But while Wennink told Financial Times that there’s still some time to expand capacity, it’s not a simple task, because of long lead times for key components, such as lenses, that are needed to make the machines.

ASML shares were up by about 1 percent at $649.50 at 7:30 a.m. ET. [source]

Not good. It’s like the American people are living in a third-world socialistic country.

THEY HAVE IT ON TAPE! Kevin McCarthy Told GOP Leaders Twitter and Big Tech Needed to Strip Accounts from Fellow GOP Lawmakers — AFTER CUTTING VIDEO AGAINST CENSORSHIP!

From The Gateway Pundit.com (Apr. 21, 2022):

Rachel Maddow leaked a private phone call on her show on Thursday night of House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy with Trump-hating lunatic Liz Cheney on January 10, 2021.

On January 10, 2021, Kevin McCarthy spoke with several GOP House leaders including Liz Cheney who was third-in-line in the House Republican Caucus at that time.

During the call, McCarthy told Liz Cheney that he would counsel President Trump Trump to resign.

From the call:

Kevin McCarthy:  “I think [impeachment resolutions] will pass, and it would be my recommendation you (President Trump) should resign… What he did is unacceptable. Nobody can defend that and nobody should defend it.”

McCarthy also indicated that he believed Twitter and Facebook should delete the accounts of lawmakers who were supporting Trump’s claim of a rigged election. “We can’t put up with that,” he said. “Can’t they take their Twitter accounts away, too?”

Jonathan Martin, national political correspondent for The New York Times, joined Rachel Maddow about to discuss his new book with New York Times colleague Alex Burns. Marin told Rachel Maddow that Kevin McCarthy wanted Twitter to suspend his fellow Republicans from their platform.

For the record — Kevin McCarthy has posted numerous tweets condemning Twitter censorship.

While pushing for it on his fellow party members!

Companies like Facebook and Twitter have special protections in something called #Section230. But Big Tech is abusing those protections and choosing to censor Americans with different political views.

It is time to #Scrap230 and start over. pic.twitter.com/IaX8AZCJ9N

— Kevin McCarthy (@GOPLeader) October 15, 2020

The President tweets that people should stop breaking the law and Twitter moves to censor him.

The left is uncomfortable that in a vibrant democracy, citizens have a right to hear directly from their President and decide for themselves what to think about it.#StopTheBias!

— Kevin McCarthy (@GOPLeader) June 23, 2020

So, McCarthy’s believed the Left’s lies about Trump? He and any other republican that believed the Left’s lies should be ashamed. The Left lies. It’s what they do. The republicans legislators has to learn this or they will always be tricked.

Muslims Sue FBI for Religious Discrimination, Feds Base Their Defense on ‘Secret Evidence’

From PJ Media.com (June 11):

Now here’s an interesting case. A group of Muslims is suing the FBI, claiming religious discrimination over surveillance that the feds carried out a few years after 9/11. The hard-Left ACLU and the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) are siding with the plaintiffs, which ordinarily would be a massive red flag impugning their case, but the FBI’s entire case is based on its trustworthiness as an institution. And after all we have seen over the last few years, can anyone really trust the FBI?

Time Magazine reported Thursday that the case is based on the activities of a reckless FBI informant and apparent entrapment artist named Craig Monteilh, who pretended to convert to Islam and spied on several Southern California mosques. Time notes that Monteilh, “who had served time for fraud, left his key fob and mobile phone in places to record conversations when he was not around. He recorded hundreds of hours of video inside mosques, homes, and businesses. He told two other Muslims that ‘we should bomb something.’ He says he was told by his FBI handlers to date Muslim women and have sex with them to get more information.” Could the FBI really have been this clumsy and stupid? Why, yes.

This operation is the basis for the lawsuit. A Muslim named Ali Malik hosted Islamic prayers at his home in Irvine, Calif., and contends that the FBI spied on the meetings for prayer without sufficient cause to do so. He and two others sued, “accusing the agency of religious discrimination and unlawful government surveillance.”

On Thursday, the case, FBI v. Fazaga, came before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. However, there are unlikely to be any courtroom dramatics, as the FBI is basing its entire case on secret stuff that it has no intention of revealing. “The government argues that all the plaintiffs’ claims alleging religious discrimination need to be dismissed because it has secret evidence that would exonerate the FBI if made public.” The feds assert that as a result, the case should just be thrown out; they say in a legal filing that “since the court cannot hear evidence as to who the FBI investigated or why, it cannot adjudicate whether the government targeted Plaintiffs based on their religion.”

For their part, Malik and co. “argue that they don’t need secret evidence to win their argument and that the case should proceed without this information,” especially in light of the fact that “the government has so far not invoked the state secrets privilege for allegations of unlawful surveillance.” An ACLU attorney, Mohammad Tajsar, points out that the feds frequently use this state secrets defense, which, he says, “has basically prevented judicial oversight over a whole bunch of desperately abusive national security-related policies—things like warrantless wiretapping and extrajudicial assassination.”

The state secrets defense should be called the “Trust me, bro” defense. In resorting to it so often, the FBI is essentially justifying its activities on the basis of its reputation. It is saying that it can’t tell us why it engaged in the activities over which it is being sued, and so we simply have to take its word that everything was entirely on the up and up.

But after the Russian Collusion hoax, the fake Jan. 6 insurrection, and now the indictment of Donald Trump, how wise would it be to sit back and trust the Justice Department without demanding any kind of accountability? The FBI should be able to give some idea of what it has in the FBI v. Fazaga case without compromising national security.

The FBI has so comprehensively betrayed the trust of the American people in the last few years, beginning with the little-noted fact that an FBI informant was encouraging two Islamic jihadis who had been in contact with ISIS to attack our free speech event in Garland, Texas, in 2015, that it cannot be trusted to be acting in the best interests of anyone but itself. It could be surveilling these people just to justify its counterterror budget.

Obviously, the courts shouldn’t force the FBI to reveal compromising information, but the bottom line is clear: the FBI has no right to call for trust when it has so frequently and comprehensively betrayed the trust that the American people once had in it. [source]

Well, the FBI went after the Catholics so why not other religions like the Muslims?

The Amish Rejected Covid Vaccines, Lockdowns and Masks. The Result? 30X Less Deaths

From The People’s Voice.tv (May 26):

According to the CDC and mainstream media, the Amish were set to suffer from excess death due to Covid. In reality, the exact opposite happened.

The mainstream media will not touch this story because it completely dismantles the entire establishment narrative. It shows that all the COVID interventions were completely unnecessary.

Even if the vaccine worked and was safe, there was simply no reason for them to take the vaccine because 90% had already been infected in 2020. Taking a vaccine after you’ve already got natural immunity is nonsensical and counterproductive. However, in the US, we were told to get the vaccine even if we recovered from COVID. Many people lost their livelihoods if they did not comply.

How did the Amish achieve herd immunity so fast? They did the exact opposite of what the CDC recommended. They did not watch TV, they carried on with their normal lives, they got enough sunlight (vitamin D) and zinc, and they used drugs like ivermectin if they got sick.

Today, more than 3 years later, you still cannot find more than a handful of Amish who died from COVID.

Yet, mainstream America is still refusing to listen to the wisdom of the Amish, preferring to place their trust in Big Pharma and the mainstream media.

To make a point, Steve Kirsch is offering $2,500 to the first person who can find more than a handful of unvaxxed Amish who died from COVID in Lancaster, PA during the entire pandemic.

Steve Kirsch reports: So far, nobody can come up with >5 names because no more than 5 Amish people died from COVID.

Yet the establishment is still persisting with the fake news that unvaxxed Amish communities were decimated by Covid.

OK, so if there are so many excess deaths, then how come nobody knows more than a few people in the unvaxxed Amish community who died from COVID?

That’s what I want to know!

The Amish achieved herd immunity in March 2021. So if there is a paper claiming there were excess deaths in March 2021 and beyond, we can now cite that as evidence that the vaccines don’t work. The reason is simple: the Amish are the “best case” possible: they were FULLY “vaccinated” in 2020. So if people claim they had excess deaths in 2021, it means that the vaccines (which must be worse than natural immunity) will have even worse outcomes.

The Amish success story proves an important point: all these measures were completely unnecessary, we destroyed our businesses and economy for nothing, we set our kids education back years for no benefit, the medical community is inept, the CDC and FDA and NIH are inept, and we should not trust Biden or members of Congress who went along with the whole thing while people were shouting stop. With rare exceptions (such as Senator Ron Johnson and Congressman Bill Posey and a few others), none of them are interested in listening to the possibility that they might be wrong.

This all happened because voices of reason were silenced. Free speech, debate, etc. was tossed out the window. Any doctor who stood against the “consensus” was crushed into oblivion.

The leaders of America need to stop listening to the people they trusted, and start listening to the people they labeled “misinformation spreaders.” They got it completely backwards.

You should never trust the CDC, mainstream media, or members of Congress again until they admit their mistakes, vow never to support censorship again, and always listen to people on both sides of an issue before making a decision. [source]

The Amish didn’t panic and die from Covid? Go figure!
