It seems political correctness has entered the military again. In the report about the Fort Hood terrorist attack there was no mention of the Hasan's religion. For that matter not even his name. The report mentioned the names of various slipups by Army officers though. That omission is just plain crazy. The Pentagon did not want to offend the Muslim faith. Really? Are they afraid of being accused of profiling?
It's all about motive. Every police officer knows that when understanding a criminal. Along with means and opportunity of course. No different with terrorists. In this case Hasan's militant Jihadism was his motivation. For a militant Jihadist if you are not a Muslim then you are the enemy. Period. You cannot overlook that. And if the military ignores that motivation I fear another attack could happen in the military.
